Everyone has these expectations that Jett is gonna go on a generational run and stack up the wins and championships like never before but there’s a chance things play out completely different.
2023
SX-Sexton
MX-Jett
2024
SX-Jett
MX-Sexton
They’re all tied up as far as we’re concerned.
This has a bigger chance of being a JS7 v RC4 type of rivalry rather than a MC v everyone else fighting for 2nd scenario that most were predicting.
Chase is showing he’s still a force to be reckoned with , it’s gonna be a great year for the sport.
Well, at least the title made me lol. 😂
It's literally week 1.... A1.....
Yogi beat MC at the opener in 99. Chase rode great, but it’s early

Some added context… Jett didn’t race 450 supercross in 2023 and Jett went out injured in 450 MX in 2024.
I’m not a Jett fanboy but what are we doing here?
I’m pleasantly surprised that he struggled. Wish tomac didn’t go down because I think chase and Eli need to take full advantage of whatever issues Jett is having because I can only assume he’ll be the best guy again soon.
It hasn’t even been 24 hours since the FIRST race of the season…🤦🏻♂️
Some added context ,
Chase was injured for a lot of the 2023 MX season
All I’m saying is they’re tied on premier class titles and things can play out differently than what is widely assumed and expected. Last night was just a reminder of that.
Chase struggled on a new bike last year and that gave Jett an advantage. This year could be different.
We’re all just shooting the shit here anyways, it’s a valid take.
And don't forget, the Deegs got out-qualified and beat by a jet ski racer.
Jett didnt race vs chase in 23 supercross, he was on a 250. So that stat doesnt belong there.
Jett being the better of the two when both are healthy and racing is backed up by numbers. I think we’re all hoping chase and Eli make this an exciting season but let’s not kid ourselves. Jett is the favorite for a reason and we’re all surprised by last night.
I guess it's over then and neither Eli or Sexton will have a bad race and Jett will never recover.
Anaheim 1 has kooky results most times. Jett's been racing 450 two years, first year he didn't race them indoors, second year injured for the outdoors, it will be cool to see how he does if he gets to race the bulk of the season this year. Seems it will take some effort to dial in the new Honda for indoors.
Problem is, he’s used his mulligan and he’s still searching for comfort on the bike. If he doesn’t figure it out quickly, it will be a very difficult task to win the title.
Jett is going to make a bunch of you look stupid in about 6 days.
James only won 1 championship against RC, so I don't get that comparison.
Consistency is gonna win this thing.. something tells me chase will have some fairly bad nights.
I don't think he won any against RC. Neither did Reed.
James never beat RC for a championship unless you're including that 2006 World SX title which James only won because it didn't include the results of Daytona
Pit Row
I can imagine a thread title in six days that reads..
“Chase showed he was a black-belt, but forgot that Jett is the Renshi”
I'm not about to make a rush judgement after 1 bad race, even though I'm stoked Chase won.
Having said that though, I'll gladly call myself Nostradomus if the trend keeps up, at some point last year I said to pump the brakes on predicting a decade of Jett dominance, asking what happens if Chase finds a bike he's super comfy on and Honda makes a bike Jett doesn't gel with?
Now having also said that, I think worst case scenario Jett figures the bike out halfway through the series. It's not drastically different. 2029 though? May be a different story.

Let’s get JubeJubes first heat race win before you even put their names in the same sentence.
Unless Jett gets the bike set-up figured out, I think some Jett fluffers might be eating crow next week. Chase and Eli look dialed while Jett admits his bike's not where he needs it to be, and because of it he couldn't even skim the whoops.
Eli looked the best of anyone this past weekend. As far as Jett and Hunter, they were fairly involved in the new frame etc from my understanding...so I was really surprised that they both struggled.
I think the eye test agrees with you but we haven’t really seen them go head to head with both being 100% (health and bike figured out) yet have we?
I'll preface this by saying I like Jett, even though I'm not ready or wanting to see dominance yet. Also, in Jetts little Instagram reel he posted, he didn't lean THAT hard on the bike being the only issue. He took some responsibility which I thought was mature.
NOW, I'll move on to JT's glazing on the Pulp review show. How he goes on and on about how the bike is terrible, and it was "almost scripted" when Jett went down in the sand while they were talking about it and blah blah blah.....guess what, and JT knows this, the greats find a way to work around an imperfect bike.
Having a near meltdown at A1 will be recoverable for the kid, but dude calm TF down on the bike being the issue. If Jett KNOWS that bike is twitchy, don't bomb the sand expecting to get lucky. He's good enough to ride at the edge of the bikes capabilities and make it into the top ten, in MY opinion.
Jett had a terrible night, was it partially bike setup issues? Sure. But he made it worse by trying to do too much. He'll be fine, he'll be the championship guy in a few weeks, but good Lord just call it how it is instead of making excuses for the kid.
They’re all cooked
Just popped the top on this thread...was kind of avoiding it because of the title but damn glad I did. You guys are "spittin' truth" which nowadays tends to get you called a hater. I love Chase Sexton and don't believe he's close to his ceiling. Having said that, Jett's upward trajectory has been steeper than Chase's. And none of that even matters at this point. The deciding factor between Jett and Chase's ultimate career successes will come down to luck (injuries).
Anyway, thanks for a thought to chew on for a bit.😉
When Chase has an issue with the bike it's his fault. When Jett has an issue it's all the bike's fault.
So I'm NOT the only one seeing that? Lol at least I'm not totally crazy
It is very hard for me choose between Eli or Kenny for this championship. I don't expect either one of them to be around much longer and it feels like I watched 'em grow up on Saturdays.
They've both been pretty cool cats the whole time and can't say they haven't earned it. Problem is they gotta "win" it. I expect Chase, Jett, and others to want the same. Great year coming.😀
