Podium interviews for riders that didn't land on the podium.

No they need to do more, everyone wants to hear from the championship contenders and top riders. 

If they could 2-3 riders in that had hectic races it would be great. 

"oh I had the best race of my life and it would not be possible without my great team" is the last thing I want to hear. 

Put Ferrandis there.

Disagree. One of the best interviews we got was from a guy that didn’t finish on the podium.

Deegs even admitted as much, he said the shine should be on those guys that did good 5th isnt gonna cut it. Even he knew it was a weird look. If shimoda got 5th would he be interviewed? Was 4th interviewed? I understand why they did it, hes the smx champ, but hes not the sx champ so it is a bit iffy. Feld knows the ppl wanna kno what he has to say tho so the circus gonna circus. 

Not the biggest Deegan fan but I'm totally ok with them interviewing the favorite that also dominated MX and SMX last year, all eyes are on him at at the moment I guess.

Should have interviewed DiFrancesco aswell tho at least.

No problem interviewing non podium guys, right after all 3 podium guys get camera time….

This is key. Both guys had amazing rides after a first lap oopsie. Both are gonna be title contenders. They are relevant, but let them podium finishers get their glory first. 

Umm it’s not a podium interview if it’s not on the podium. It’s just an interview…I have no problem if they are consistent with interviewing more riders, only issue I have is if they only do it for certain riders. Let’s get rid of the filler and hear from more racers, sounds like a win win

Such a ridiculous take. Not every interview has to be a podium interview. And who are you guys to set the rules for who can be interviewed after a race. They can interview who ever they want. You vital guys. Including Regis just don’t get it. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I wouldn’t have minded a Jett interview.

Wrong. I want to hear from guys like Tomac and Deegan after a night like that. I'd like to have heard from Jett as well.

What are the interviews before the race called? Wouldn’t it just be called an interview if they aren’t on the podium and didn’t get top 3?

I like it. It’s a television show. Who do you want to see when you watch your favorite show? The main characters.

There would’ve been a 10 page thread of crying if Jett would’ve been interviewed. 

Another great “after race” interview was when AP wadded up while leading a few years ago a lap and a half from the checkers.  

There’s never a bad time to interview AP. The worst thing about that interview was seeing him after being so close and having it slip away. I felt so bad for him. 

Yea I woulda liked to hear what he had to say. I dont usually watch the how was your weekend videos because I feel like thats the one time where they mostly just say what you already know theyre gonna say, but I’m definitely looking for jett, hunter, hopefully dazzy, prado, and then shimoda this weekend. 

Anyone else think its also kinda weird that both of the phenoms had a super off night? Like not just a regular off night but both were pretty much disasters. Deegans wasnt AS bad at the end, in a super light field, but in such a light field literally the only thing that was gonna keep him off the podium is if what happened to him happened. Jetts was just a complete meltdown in the vein of tomac when his pants fell off that one year when he was in the lead and favorite to win. 

It seems like both guys had already been given the championship before it even started, and especially so for haiden after levi pulled out, he wasnt even paying attention to his own class he was taking jabs at jett. It seems like when ppl get given the championship before it even starts that the world will never let it be that easy and something has to throw a wrench in the spokes. Its going to make for a more fun series thats for sure! 

Actually proud of  Deegs he kept it real and humble.  Might be Tomac’s last A1 - let the man speak boys…

Missed opportunity for Deegs, he shoulda been eating a donut during his post race interview. Bryan is asleep at the wheel!

As long as all the podium guys get to speak, I’m ok with it. Like capeway said, it’s TV show filler. Better than hearing Will ramble about something insignificant.
