That was one of Sexton’s strongest rides to date - just total domination from beginning to end. Peak Tomac is obviously back. Roczen still has the speed. Some question marks for Jett and Hunter. Probably the best A1 you could ask for in terms of building anticipation for the rest of the season.

Good riding by the veterans!

Definitely! Super cool to see that the boys still have it in them.

For sure. 5 guys in their 30s and a few more on the cusp? Warms my aging heart, been awesome watching this group race for so many years.

Agreed, looked like Jett drifted over into Anderson but instead of letting off he just kept on it, kinda leaning in on Jett on second contact

That start was a real mess. I don't remember the last time there was something that tight. Ton of bar banging all night.

The combo of the split start with the short run into a tight ass left was a little bit of cluster. Made for some entertaining racing and got both Haiden and Jett in trouble. I was pretty surprised at how it turned out for the Hunter brothers though. Hunter went backwards and Jett barely went forward. Can't wait for round 2!

As a general rule I usually don't take much from A1 in terms of what I think the season will look like, but those 450 HRC bikes looked bad. Stew made a comment that they looked like they were waiting for the bikes to react before they started to go. Hope they can figure them out

Title race will probably be a lot closer if he doesn't

Anyone listen to the French broadcast?

I listened to it for a little bit, and I didn't think it was that great. No excitement/enthusiasm. Pretty monotone.

First one of the year so it might get better.

Just my opinion.

Right when stew was talking about it, Jett was getting headshake out of a turn on a flag straight. Blows my mind how they can look so dialed during quali’s and three hours later the brothers look scared for their life.

Chase looks great

Almost perfect. He sure does stall that KTM quite a bit though.

He just needs to add a tooth to the rear sprocket.

Stew was really talking up Chase. Seemed like he expected this performance from what he saw in the off season.

RC gets a lot of shit but I thought his post race perspective was intuitive and spot on.

Thanks, I was laughing when these started saying it was Jett leaning on Ando. What?!

Well, there are quite a few people on here that speak the language.

Je suppose que j'aurais pu demander en français.

That's exactly why some of us are so confused. He is great in podcasts, interviews or during the post race analysis like u said, way different and relaxed compared to when he calls the race.

The amount of tuff blocks and their wllly nilly placement was criminal.

How ironic is it that Eli pulls a 23’Chase front end wash and then Chase runs over him on his way to a win?

Naw…Chase popped his front and went over soft with the rear.  Didn’t hurt Eli in the slightest.  Not even a jersey mark.  Friese would have gunned it down to the bone and called it racing.

I didn't watch qualifying but if they were good in qualifying then it is possible they just made a bad decision regarding set up for the main/night show. Hopefully we'll find out soon enough

Was it really a 23 chase front end wash if he didn’t do it in the last 5 minutes with the race nearly locked up?
