SB KTM and BT racing will be merging up for the year. Jens Walvoort for sure will be in the team. Looks like it will be a 2 man team

After getting to know Jens a bit this year, he seems to be a really good kid and extremely thankful for his opportunity. I am looking forward to him showing what he’s capable of this year.

Good friend of mine was his mechanic for a few years. He broke both of his legs in his first year on the 250, which hindered a big part of his early progress. Since moving to SB KTM and working with de Reuver, he really improved a lot. I think that the material he is riding with is more competitive as well.

On the 125 and his first year on 250 he was still a bit too small (physically) to keep the speed the entire race. Hopefully he can make the next step to be a top 10 regular (he already had some flashes inside there) and work himself to a factory ride. Good to see BT racing back in the paddock. Who would be the guy next to him? I heard Oriol Oliver was an option, or will he remain at WZ?

Doesn't sound promising if you ask me, they just don't want to say he's not going to make it.
And IF he makes it, he'll need at least 5 GP's to get back up to speed with no preparation...

Oliver won't be with WZ KTM anymore.

Last I heard Oriol or Noel Zanocz were who they were looking at for a second rider.

Big news article in multiple news outlets in the Netherlands regarding Riley Racing. I highly doubt they will line-up for the 2025 season.

Two men tried to extort 2 million from former Jumbo boss: ‘I’m giving you one chance...’

Two men are on trial for attempting to extort Frits van Eerd. Through a threatening letter, they tried to force the former Jumbo CEO to pay over 2 million euros. A phone was delivered to Van Eerd's home, intended for him to communicate with his alleged extortionists.

Two men attempted to extort Frits van Eerd, the former CEO of the Jumbo group, last year. The men, aged 38 and 41 from Helden in Limburg, allegedly tried to force him to pay over 2 million euros. The duo was scheduled to appear in court in Den Bosch this Wednesday, but the case has been postponed until June 5 next year.

According to a spokesperson for the Public Prosecution Service (OM), the victim, Van Eerd, did not pay anything. The two suspects, particularly the 38-year-old main suspect, are accused of exploiting the vulnerable position of Van Eerd, the former figurehead of Jumbo, according to the OM. In 2022, Van Eerd was detained for several days as he is suspected of, among other things, money laundering. He still faces a separate trial. Van Eerd himself filed the complaint regarding the extortion attempt.

The main suspect in this case is 38-year-old Olaf H. He, along with the other suspect, Mustapha Y., is currently free but reported himself sick on Wednesday. As a result, the judge ruled that the case against Y., who is said to have played a lesser role, must also be postponed. The judge emphasized the importance of handling both cases simultaneously.

According to the indictment, the two suspects personally delivered a threatening letter to Van Eerd. Additionally, a phone was left at his home in Heeswijk-Dinther, allowing him to communicate with his extortionists. Threatening messages were also sent via this phone. These events are said to have occurred in late March and early April of last year.

It is unclear what was used to blackmail Van Eerd. Some media outlets have suggested that Jumbo sponsorship funds were used to pay off debts, with Van Eerd allegedly being aware of this and keeping it quiet.

The main suspect is the owner of the motocross team Riley Yamaha Racing. The Veghel-based supermarket chain had sponsored this team for years. Jumbo ended the sponsorship after Van Eerd was arrested at his home in September 2022. He is accused of money laundering, non-official corruption, and forgery. Van Eerd's trial is also scheduled for June next year.

Worst thing, I know these guys. One of them was in the same school as me back in the days… Never expected them to do something like this

When the press release off Riley Racing says there  head base is in Dubai, you know enough.

Wonder how long it will last.

We have to think anything KTM related is up in the air now if pay roll rumours are true.

I seriously doubt there will be any major cut back. The race teams are likely to be considered essential marketing and R&D and therefore spared. A lot of other minor teams simply are provided bikes and parts. Perhaps some of the very fringe teams could be impacted.

Wonder how long it will last.

This whole Jumbo saga keeps coming back to bite the industry. I guess thats what you get when you sign up again with guys after you've seen what happened before.

Madness that people think the racing subsidiary is safe when the company is having issues paying the people that keep the wheels rolling from day to day.

It’s not Jumbo that still give problems, it’s the Riley team (owner) itself.

There still could be another “bite” next year by the end off June for one off the team owner as he still is a suspect.

Let’s see how essential the Austrian Secretary of Labor deems the racing program.  Duping people out of promised wages at Christmas is whack..

Yeah it's whack, but obviously they are in such a dire situation that they "had" to do it. Which is why i find it almost probable that some racing programs will be completely cut or at least significantly cut the coming months.
