Jeremy Coker, the 450 team manager. He's off to Triumph in a yet-to-be-announced role.

Star is deciding on the replacement for his position still.

Did they move Scuba into Bobby’s position and hire Jeremy to run the mx team?

No. Scuba is team manager in full now. Coker is a different position between race team and corporate liason.

(Relax it’s a joke)

He's already essentially calling the shots over there.

Seems pretty fkd up to leave the team 1 month before the season starts. Gotta be something that pushed him away.

Either the Deegans taking the place over and him feeling sidelined, or a big offer from Triumph - or a bit of both.

Seems to be the nature of the beast. If guys can get off the road some and still be involved they jump at the chance. The travel has to be a total grind if you have a family.

Pure speculation.  I should clarify: I reckon he's probably essentially calling the shots over there.

Fair enough.

So would you also poke fun at Dazzy calling the shots at Honda or are you only looking to shit on the Deegans?

No Hair Lip just told us either Deegan pushed him out or he got a giant bag and he would know.

It’s ok, Dazzy probably does have input over at Honda. He didn’t say anything bad about Brian, no need to deflect…

I'm betting it was for the paycheck. No way you leave a team like that 30 days out from A1 without significant $$$ thrown at you.

Probably a role where he doesn’t have to travel as much too. Money and less travel would be hard to pass up.

No he’s not, they have strong leadership there.

Now if you want to talk about a tail wagging a dog, you don’t need to look any further than Honda.

People tend to forget these are normal dudes and have other priorities as well. I bet he doesn't sleep in his Star polo.

IF there was an option for more or equal (hell maybe even a little less) money and a lot less travel, was he supposed to turn it down for the love of the sport? He's done a great job over at Star, and he'll probably do great in his new role.

Why does it matter if its 30 days or 1 day before A1?  You dont owe them anything. People come in go in big companies all the time and I promise you star racing 450 team is not a big company but yet everyone acts like they are a Fortune 500 company. You do what’s best for yourself and your family.

No, I'd agree about Dazzy to a degree.  He has massive bargaining power.  Anyone with influence on Jett's career trajectory can call the shots at any team. However, I think Brian probably has more of an overarching plan - possibly involving his own team. I don't think Dazzy is so orientated toward being a businessman.  I would add, I think Brian, for all his faults, is a very intelligent man, and should be able to run rings around the hillbillies at Star.  Of course, he still needs HD to do it.

Which is odd for Honda given their history of letting guys go.

It’s so weird to hear people say things like, “this place is effed if I leave”. We have a crew of 9 at work and one guy has this mentality, not only is he nothing special, but every experienced person could quit on the same day and the place would still go on, no matter what.

That might well be the case (I dont know), but regardless which tail is running the dog, I would say it is working out pretty well for them...

Pure speculation here but I'm guessing this just wasn't a snap decision made 30 days out from the start of a new season. We all know riders have moves lined up 1-2 years in advance sometimes, I wouldn't mind betting this was no different.

RCs not available, and Suzuki isn’t spending the money to buy a big name, so he will be mediocre just like he was Before Carmichael.
