Look at the WE, almost every mod done is a smart upgrade.

Alright let’s see how much you’ve invested in riding lessons vs aftermarket parts on your bike in the last year 😂

*heavily joking and maybe you have, but hopefully you have kit suspension a vortex and exhaust

Stronger rims, with a 2.15 Rear and a 110 rear tire.

Yoshimura exhaust

I am sure Twisted and XPR will have a good setting for the Vortex soon.

Similarly, I am sure FC will have a good setting for the suspension soon.

Twin Air powerflow kit should be out soon. I prefer the seals on these versus the clips.

T4 gas. Pump gas sucks these days.

Sadly won't get to ride it until next April, but here's my 250 WE

-Talon wheel set, 2.15 rim, Pirelli tires

-Full Akrapovic exhaust, will also test the Yosh

-Renthal 827, Renthal half waffle grip, works connection elite throttle tube, keeping stock lever (considering G2 quicker tube)

-Scar ti foot peg

-Works connection rad brace, mesh louver sleeves, rear master cylinder cover, cycra skid plate

-DID ert3 chain (+2 links), Dirt trick rear sprocket (49)

-couple titanium and stainless bolts

-1.8 radiator cap

Still to do

-suspension revalve (FC maybe)

-Vortex to XPR or Twisted if they have WE specific maps

-Twin air power flow kit

- safety wiring, gold heat foil, oetiker hose clamp 1000002238.jpg?VersionId=aX bhzO4l tSBbqfp9w.A5T.rRsK

MXA was saying it's about 800 bucks in parts, so that sounds about right.

Free mod (at least on the WE):

1/4 click softer on high speed compression on the shock, sag at 106, fork height 1mm, 2 clicks stiffer fork compression. I still think FC will have a better set up, but trying to get as close as I can with the stock stuff before I send it in.

The silver rims and red hubs look good 👍

The WE 250R didn’t gain any HP compared to the stock CRF as MXA showed on PC Dyno. It even got less HP.

I’m working on my own CRF250, got mine on the Dyno with a full HGS System. Results compared to a stock exhaust system? No gains at all..!

We started to work with a GET ecu, got a pretty good map on the dyno and gained around 3HP.

Didn’t tested it so far on track as the bike only has been used at the dyno.

My advice would be if you want to gain some HP, get yourself a GET or a Vortex. Seems like Honda made a really good exhaust those days.

Looks like HGS/Yoshimura need to step up their game to make some gains again, as it shows so far there isn’t any performance gains. I’m doubtful PC or FMF are any better.

Akrapovic are claiming to gain a 0,7 HP gain on their product, but with the price they come…

We will be reaching out to HGS and show them those dyno runs.

Where did you source the black fork protectors on the top tubes?

Could the drop in HP be due to the larger rear wheel and tire combo on the WE? If the dyno is measuring at the rear wheel?

I thought they usually just toss on a shop wheel with a slick on it, not change the tire on the stock wheel?

No, it’s like Soggy said it’s just a shop wheel with a slick on it. So both tuns runs will be the same wheel/rim.

The new 2025 exhaust Yosh came out with for the Honda has a resonator while the WE does not. When they made an exhaust for the 2023 KTM they said they had to add the resonator to get any gains over the stock system. It looks like they are in the same spot with the CRF now too.

What was it otd with that 30% off? I'm buying one Tuesday for MSRP otd ($8299).  This dealer charges zero fees and no tax since I'm out of state? Bike in Tenn I'm in bama.

Just curious if I should be asking for a discount off MSRP?

Oh yeah, do the crf250r regular bike come with an hour meter? Thanks

Did the exhaust help the power any in your opinion?

I’m not gonna help much, it’s my wife’s bike so I hardly ride it. I will however be testing both pipes back to back later in the week at my track. I’m def curious as to the difference. I will say one thing for sure, the main reason I got it (aside from being a classic vet dude with money 🤣) is because I couldn’t stand the sound of the stock pipe, this def is way better there.

I cannot comment on the performance gain as it’s been too long since I rode her bike. I however did do back to back testing with a brand new 24kx250f . Both myself and the owner of the kx liked the Honda more, main thing was how well the Honda handled and suspension. Most surprising though was the motor, perhaps only the 25 kx is the 45 hp ripper. The 25 Honda hands down has more motor than the 24 kx. Much better hit down low, quick reving/recovery and equal pull up top. I believe stock to stock everything I read has the kx being faster so maybe this pipe really did help. I’ll report back this week with back to back comparisons.

Following. Got mine last week. Are you having problems with the exhaust on the 450? It melts my pants.

For the engine part, HOnda is shorter geared than Yamaha and kawi is longer geared than KTM on the first 3 gears.  So add 2 teeth to the rear sprocket of the kx and it will rev, faster with more torque every where than the Honda.
