The most interesting thing to me about all of this is Deegan Inc thinks they're bigger than the sport and Lawrence Inc sidelining them and having promoters go along with it has to be a blow to their ego. The more I think about it the more I think it's kinda hilarious from the Lawrence side. Sonned him good just because they could. If true of course, which if Deegan is the source it probably isn't.
The only hand injury he had was pre season. He had ligament damage from a screw sticking out that was put in place pre season after breaking the bone. Said ligament damage extended his recovery time to where he couldn't race nations. He will have many more opportunities to race nations, when everything lines up for him to do so.

Some of you guys are way too emotionally invested in your favorite rider and/or their competitors.
This could easily be Anderson and Deegan hearing the story and having a bit of fun with it. Neither had mentioned Australia or been mentioned to be in for Australia until today.
Both are the type to call out the Lawrence boys if the story was true. They still possibly could.
But a few light hearted mentions of Australia by Deegan and Anderson feels like them kicking the hornets nest to have some fun with it.

Deegan and Anderson would both have fun throwing fuel on the flames of a bullshit story. Especially if it makes riders you dislike look bad. Both have a good sense of humour IMO. Both would fit right in with Aussie culture to be honest.

I cant see either rider having wanted to race in Australia for a one off race. Why would Anderson want to come over and race the only round the Lawrence boys will race? Why would Deegan want to race against nobodies in Australia but not do MX Des.Nations?
I cant see the promoters approaching these guys at the last minute either for it to be for a big fat pay day only for them to change their mind because Jett and Hunter decided they didn't like it. Plus Australia has no money in our sports to offer that big fat pay day to be honest. If this ended up being true it would be wild on so many levels.

AusSX already has everyone they need to draw a crowd in Australia. Anyone who thinks they were going to spend another $100K - $200K for Deegan and Anderson really is cooked. Would it have made a better show? Possibly, but the smart business decision is not to spend the extra money. These guys weren't invited and are getting value out of it on social media.
