I've got Mercedes Gonzalez on the far left and Sue Fish on the far right. Hopefully some of you can name the rest of these pro moto ladies?

Any photos of the women from Buffalo SX 1984? Trying to see who ruined Jim Holley’s night.

Blonde in the middle back is Tami Rice, other one is Bonnie Warch.  I knew Tami pretty well from the races in the 90s.  Bonnie was always racing too, didn’t know her though.

Thanks Slap, I knew she looked familiar...Tami has been involved in the vintage MX scene lately.

I think the lady in the middle, in the blue hi point leathers, is mxchickalltheway's mom. Forget here name, she was in the OTHG years ago.

Pretty sure that's the chick that owned a cycle parts store on Dyer rd and the 55 in the late 80's early 90's. I forget her name too... but she hooked me up on a set of white Hi-Point boots back then 🙂

Edit: That's Debbie Matthews. She did indeed own the cycle accessory store.   She was also just inducted to the AMA Hall Of Fame for 2024, pretty cool.

Sounds interesting...can somebody enlighten me?

They are the coolest looking boot ever in my opinion, based off that metal plate. Last i checked you could still get them, but only in black

They weren't very comfortable for me as that hard plastic thing that was sewn into it to protect the leather from getting a hole rubbed in it would press on my pointy ankle bone. Very painful and it would swell badly. So i unstitched it and removed it.

Sweet picture SLAPAHO. I rode a buddies 90 KX250 and the suspension was so plush. A little bigger feel though then the 90 YZ250 i was racing.

Others will correct me on the details but...

Holley received a blow job before the main from some chick he just met and subsequently finished last.

Something like that. I'm sure there is a polaroid somewhere that will tell the story.

The first pair of HP boots I got were in 86. I saved the cool bits for garage decoration.

Per Jim:

“I got a blowjob and I was shit in the main event”

Thought it might be cool to highlight some lady legends of the past...it's a shame that a couple of you guys just couldn't let that be.

It was innocent and it kept the thread near the top.

Lighten up.

Those ladies are ALL BADASS. Sue Fish was one to be idolized in the 70's in SoCal. She was the first Moto Lady that I remember. Mercedes (always thought that was a really cool name) and Steffi seemed to take point from Sue. Huge respect for them all. They could all smoke me, that for sure!!!

It's Vital. You have to expect some sort of derailing of a topic. You could post the cure for cancer and you'll get down votes or debated.

Great picture and topic. Thanks for posting

Any other photos, stories or what they're doing to today of women motocross riders back in the day? I can think of Nancy Thomas or the girl that always had 2 braids in her hair.
