Do you have a favorite track?

Up top by the flagpole, or down by the walk of fame? 

My favorite is my hometown track at Barona Oaks. I started racing there in 1985 and I've still turned more laps there than anywhere else. It doesn't have the best dirt, best concessions, or best parking. It's not convenient for me to go there. It's not even a very challenging or super "fun" track anymore. But there's something about the smell of the sagebrush and the way the sunlight filters through the tree leaves that I really like. It's home.

3. Glen Helen 

Honorable mention: All of Comp Edge, when it wasn't windy! 

Used to be Carlsbad, now Glen Helen. They both remind me of riding in the hills when we grew up. Maybe cause I didn't start racing until my 30's and the guys I raced with that grew up racing and riding pepped tracks with gap jumps hated both places and I could beat them there helped too lol. Dusty slippery and beat to absolute dogshit ? Oh hell yeah we're used to that 😆 Railing a perfectly prepped corner and seat bouncing over a gap ? Stupid as it sounds I never figured that shit out, hauling ass over a bunch of slippery dried out beat to hell dirt was right up my ally and the other guys in my class hated it.  😄😄

When it is freshly tilled, just the right amount of moisture, and you are one of the first guys on the track, I know exactly what you are talking about 👍  You can almost leave it pinned in the corners when it is prime like that, it is definitely epic.

Probably by the main track start. That's where we always park. Or by the dog park. Thanks.

I actually liked Milestone a lot.. the vet track was always fun to get warmed up on

Yeah I rode the vet track on my mod 110 most days... those doubles were big on a kids bike

My favorite to race at was Baja Acres in Mid Michigan. A wide sandy high speed whoop fest of a layout. My favorite to spectate at is Washougal. I am enamored with the scenery and the layout.

My favorite and I consider it my home track is, Sunset Ridge MX in Walnut, IL. 🤙

40 years later and the land is just sitting there. Why can't we ride on it?
