I'll say it again since you deleted your last post I gave this reply to; we get it, you don't like him or his dad, but no one is going to accidentally assume you're a fan if you don't post in every thread they're brought up in.

If anyone is wondering, two weeks from today still leaves two full months until A1 and guys are still posting pics from vacations right now.

Maybe I'm just weird but I don't like being lied to and treated like I'm too stupid to notice. I don't think that makes me a hater.

Like haiden, the down votes fuel me. I couldn't bring this level of petty "I told you so" to the message board without the haters.

Only if he tells some obvious lie about it for no apparent reason, otherwise we can just keep this thread going!

It appears the surgery went well, and recovery is going well.  It could've went the other way.

After starting the season injured last year, and this most likely being his last chance to win a 250SX title before he moves up, it was a good call to skip MXoN this year, and make sure he's 100% for SX in 2025.

We'll see him at MXoN next year.

I love watching the dude ride, want so badly to be a fan, and am hopeful he grows up a little and stops the attempts at image management. I just want the dude to stop lying. The arrogance and trash talking and all that doesn't even bother me, just stop trying to sell bullshit. His fans slurping him and parroting obvious lies doesn't help but that isn't even his fault.

You wouldn't even believe the YouTube rabbit holes I've gone down the last few weeks and it isn't even November yet. Quickly approaching cold and wet and can't do anything outside season..... I need to be fed.

Then be fan.  He's a good kid who rides with a lot of heart, and we can always use more of that.

If you're going to be mad that he wasn't honest about his injury, then there are a lot of riders to be mad at.

I would prefer they were all more open about injuries, but I understand some of the reasons they do it.

It's not always smart for your competitors to know your vulnerabilities, or to even gain confidence, knowing that your not going to be 100%.

This, as a deegan fan, I was a bit mad he didn't show the injury much, but to do as well as he did this season while in pain at some points, is even more respect gained.

Not telling me about an injury is not the same thing as telling me an obvious lie about an injury.

The muscle memory Brian is talking about applies to marketing as well.

Image management is as deep in his DNA as dirt bikes.

As the world continues to demand more authenticity, I’d argue it’s a poor long term strategy.

However, it is authentic to him at the current moment (as he is wired/trained/programmed that way).

I’d be willing to bet he gets checked quite hard down the road and then bounces back, converts a ton of “want to be a fan” fans, and transcends the sport.

Seems to be how this game works.

Taking a break from “MORE” is healthy.

Aligning with nature’s rhythms is also healthy.

Give meditation a go.

You may find you enjoy the peace that comes from watching everything slow down for a bit.

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.

Exhale.

I think the thing people have a problem with is Deegan acts like he’s above reproach. They live in a world we’re whatever they say in the moment is the truth.

First he didn’t get hurt pre season

Then he sprained his wrist but no surgery

Then we see stitches

Then we eventually find out he had surgery for a broken scaphoid.

Then he absolutely wanted to race MXdN if picked

Then Tomac backs out and he now has to get surgery to remove screws in his wrist. And needs to time to recover.

It’s just tiring to follow it all and if he had just been honest from the jump about his preseason injury and that he’ll eventually have to have a hardware removed the heat would not have been turned up like it was.

he deserves a lot of praise for his results but he is certainly not above criticism for how he has handled some things.

Sorinex - now there's a blast from the past.

I remember when Richard started his company in a little ragtag-looking buliding up the road around 1980.

Heard he passed a few months ago.

My how time flies.

Yep! He straight out lied to us about his injury.  A lot of riders have done the same.  Let's hold them all to the same standard.  It's either understandable and justified, or it isn't.

In his first season he said things that he may want to take back.  In 2024, we heard him praise other riders when they rode well.  Maybe in 2025, he'll find the right balance on the podium.

Having a never give up, never back it down attitude is not being above approach.  It's a mindset that wins.  I could use a bit more of that in my life.

What I see is a kid who's putting in the work, and working on himself to be his very best.  His ways aren't going to work for everyone, but there are plenty of riders who would benefit from copying this mindset, and it would make the racing very entertaining.

I believe we have a good mix of personalities in the sport right now.  It would be awesome though, if we have 7 or 8 riders come up with the same mindset as Haiden.  The battles, and rivalries would be epic.

Not sure what “lies” he has told but that is not much different than  other riders. And too be honest - don’t care. Just want to see him rip on the track as he brings excitement in races and fans to the sport.

That's what they're saying today: 250 SX in 2026.  I should have said this may be his last chance, not that it's most likely his last chance.

If I had to place a bet though, I'd bet there's a 40% chance that he races 450 SX next year.  We'll see.
