So who's showing up to this thing. And for those that  know, Vancouver is probably the worst motorsport city on planet. I bet you  place is a quarter full at best. Dumb idea.

Damn that's a hike for the riders. Maybe shipping a ton of loner bikes from Cali?

It never drew any kind of crowd those couple of times it was a real SX stop.

I’m going with about 2 dozen family members from around BC, been along time since they had a race there and looking forward too it!

WSX class:

Ken Roczen, Eli Tomac, Joey Savatgy, Dean Wilson, Colt Nichols, Matt Moss, Ryan Breece, Vince Friese, Greg Aranda, Lucas Imbert, Anthony Bourdon, Cedric Soubeyras.

SX2 Class:

Max Anstie, Noah Viney, Cullin Park, Julien Lebeau, Kaleb Barham, Ryder Kingsford, Brice Maylin, Calvin Fonvieille, Maxim Desprey + more

Also worth noting the stadium holds 54,500 people... tickets are only being sold in the lower bowl. Dirt will be different than the previous years Vancouver Supercross

It's less than 2 weeks away and it looks like they've hardly sold any tickets... 😬

Lived in Vancouver for 9 years until recently moving to Vancouver Island, was stoked for last year until it got cancelled. Now it's finally going ahead and I've moved an hour 40 ferry and hour and half drive away, go figure. I was still considering going until I saw the ticket prices. Funnily enough I lived in Perth for 30 years and now there's a double header there now too, go figure again. My brother was considering going but apparently the ticket prices there are also a bit ridiculous. Perth is good for motorsport but most of the supercross events over the past 20-30 years have been garbage, terrible tracks and some with speedway rope starts instead of actual gates, but happy they have a decent event now considering the Australian SX series fails to recognise Western Australia even exists (but that's a whole other rant...)

Vancouver seems like a motorsport black hole in the time I lived there, especially since losing the IndyCar race. I hope the wsx is good and continues to grow along with the series as a whole which gives people outside of the AMA series a chance for some decent racing, but it's not going to go anywhere and attract the casual fan let alone the diehards if the cheapest tickets are near $80 Canadian.

Less than two weeks away and they only have 7 teams announced with a combined 12 riders in the 450 class and 8 riders in the 250 class. It will be interesting to see how/if they fill out the gate.

I'm guessing that was the first release prices? Had I still been living in Vancouver I would have jumped on it but factoring in ferry cost and time, it would have been a near $500 weekend, money better spent elsewhere. I hope it's a good event for you and hopefully the prices drop drastically near day of and it brings in more people as it looks like not many have been sold and I can't imagine BC Place is cheap to rent out with minimal return or running at a loss.

. . . or, maybe Vince finished 4th in the series last year as opposed to the year before when he finished 3rd?

Idiot.

Did he win a round last year? With the series this short he for sure can be a contender

Yeah I mean Friese was also so close to being a Supercross World Champion once, anything is possible.

And I think Colt did win a moto, not an overall.

$80 isn't that much these days.

Worst case Ontario you could skip a couple weekends of riding which should cover it. Then you'd get two birds stoned at once.

I actually saw an ad on TV here last night for this race. While we were doing supper. Shocked the hell out of me. It was trying to sell buying the broadcast on Rave TV.
