Hey all, looking at buying a 21.5 450 SXF factory edition with the Bluetooth thing on the bar pad.
What app do I need to download to use it, can’t seem to find it on the App Store?
Thanks!
KTMconnect should work.

That's the old system. It used an app called myKTM that doesn't look to be available anymore. The newer CUO uses the KTMconnect app. You could try it with the unit you have but I don't know if it will work or not.
I still have a used ionce CUO for sale in nor cal if aanyone iinterested
CUO?
I managed to download the app and did a search for the bike and located it.
I just have to get with the owner (guy who’s selling it) and see it I can get it to connect.
What year/model KTM’s will it work with?
Connectivity Unit Off-road. I think they work with ‘21 and newer. Anything older than ‘24 needs the computer updated by the dealer before it will work.
Did you get it fixed? I’m having the exact same problem.

The new CUO is for 2023 and newer. The old one worked up through the 2022 bikes (might be 2021-22 only) and maybe the 2023 gasgas.
If you go to add a bike in your paddock you can pick bikes all the way back to the '20 450SX-F factory edition.
From what I can tell by play with the app the '20 450SX-F is limited to the CUO
The '21 & '22 SX-Fs can use the CUO or CCU 2.0 (old unit)
The '23+ only have the CUO option
I have not tested the CUO on a '20-'22 so I can't say for sure it will work, but the option is there to add it.
you still got this? DM me what your asking for it.
I bought just connectivity offroad unit (no GPS) for my '25 250XCF and while its "cool" I don't see much use for it. I installed it on my bike, downloaded the app and created a map, set the engine braking to 1 (min) and the throttle response to 5 (max). Set it to dry hardpack terrain which from what I could tell is the most aggressive HP/TQ settings. The stock green map is stronger than the map I created which makes no sense to me. Maybe I'm just an idiot and did something wrong but its pretty straight forward. I much prefer the Yamaha tuning app and IMO it works better in terms of feeling what changes you made to the mapping.
Wouldn't dry/hard pack be a less aggressive map?
I have it on my 24.5 factory editio 450 and love it. I can defintely tell ther difference when I change up the mapping. The gps / strava thing I have3nt messsed wirth yet. I have like 200 files to be uploaded/downloaded so I'm impatient and never let it finish. lol
Just installed the connectivity unit on my sons 250, a couple questions.
1. Once a map is installed can you take the unit off and it will keep the map or no ?
2. As I read through all the comments , it seems no definite answer on which map it changes ?
It changes both maps at least with respect to the mild, standard, or aggressive map part. I am not 100% if it changes the white map for settings like engine braking and throttle responsiveness. No idea on if you can take it off and keep the mapping.
Pit Row
How noticeable were the changes to the engine breaking?
I'm in socal and very interested. Sending DM now
The answer I got from ktm is it makes an overall new map. Then your white and green map are a mellow and aggressive version of that map, if that makes sense.
Also I do believe your chosen map will stay if you disconnect the unit but I'm not 100% on that.
It was noticeable for sure, but I had a hard time getting the throttle aggressive enough to suit me even maxed out.
The unit only changes the white map, you can't change the green.
This is what I originally thought but no one could 100% confirm it. I reached out to ktm directly and they told me that the map you create on the app is a new base map and the white and green map are a soft and aggressive version of that map. So both green and white are changed from the original map.
IDK I believe that, I have the unit on a 2025 250XCF and I created a map with the engine braking down to 1 which is the minimum. Its obvious when riding the engine braking is reduced, when switching to the green map the engine braking is much stronger. I couldn't tell any difference in the green map post/pre unit installed. Have you actually used the unit on a bike or are you just posting what you've been told with no experience?
I have the unit on my 23 350sxf. I created a map with maximum throttle response and minimal engine braking and both my white and green map feel different to the stock mapping. So I am inclined to believe what ktm have told me.
It would not suprise me in the least if both of you are right. There may be a difference in the 2023 to 2025 software or firmware that causes them to be different.
You could be right, the ecu firmware in the 25's may not allow you to change the green map.
I think the base green map has more engine braking than white even with no cuo. Green may have smoother low end response than white too. This is on the 250f.
This is crazy that KTM does not even publicize which maps are changed.
Also they show how to install the unit and connect it but than no other instructions.
Post a reply to: Anyone tried the ktm connectivity unit on 23 or newer?
