^Make sure you are measuring at the exact same spots, and also make sure you are doing this in the same body position. (I prefer standing on the pegs in a neutral stance.)

Thank you! I’m right at 100mm of sag now. Tried lengthening the spring by 4 full rotations and it’s still at 100mm? Can’t get it to move up the sag?

https://www.revzilla.com/dirt-bike/moose-racing-shock-spanner-tool 100-102mm makes em’ turn right quick, 104-105mm is more relaxed (for faster/sandier tracks). Always best to check in full gear, at the start of the day (when shock and bike are cold), consistently (especially with brand new bikes and/or springs). PS: Congratulations on the new scoot

A long drift is what you need. Rotate the spring by hand with the bike on a stand.

Nice! I’ll check them out and buy one. Hate to spend the money for a one time use more than likely but if it makes it easier it'll be worth it. Thanks!

motion pro or tusk shock punch if you don’t already have one. I have the same gen bike, it’s harder to access than most but do-able. The X-trig preload adjuster is nice to have for quickly changing sag.

Hey all, just picked up my first ever KX and want to check/set sag. The ring nuts aren't easily accessible especially with spanners. Anyone familiar with the KX rear shock provide some advice or tips in getting to and adjusting the rings? Hopefully without disassembling the whole rear of the bike. Oh, and also some good suspension numbers, I'm 185lbs...

I bought just connectivity offroad unit (no GPS) for my '25 250XCF and while its "cool" I don't see much use for it. I installed it on my bike, downloaded the app and created a map, set the engine braking to 1 (min) and the throttle response to 5 (max). Set it to dry hardpack terrain which from what I could tell is the most aggressive HP/TQ settings. The stock green map is stronger than the map I created which makes no sense to me. Maybe I'm just an idiot and did something wrong but its pretty straight forward. I...

Atojos or tech 10s. Tech 7s aren’t enough support the flex way too easily and the crossfires you have are noticeable a step down from the atojo and tech 10s for protection also. eBay and chrome burner has some insane deals on atojos

I've had really good luck with my SG12's. Been using them for over 10 years and have never had an ankle issue in them. I previously had issues in my boots before, which were the Jett J1's and Alpinestar tech 3's. Sg12's wear like iron as well, which helps justify the cost. Easily good for 3 seasons use.

I didn't seek out KTMs because my Yamahas were poor quality, but I am blown away by the Pankl parts in the KTM. Namely the clutch basket and gears from casual observation in handling them personally. They really are next level. But the KTM forks ... oy! There's always give-and-take.

My 2019 KTM 350 was one of the best bikes I've ever had. My 2023 Husky 350 was one of the worst. As mentioned above, the frame on 2019 was much better for me in the dry hard So Cal conditions. I think east coast riders in softer dirt can do better on 23-25. The 23-25 engine is better, but id take a better frame over engine all day.
