What’s so hard about providing the guy with a phone number? A simple phone call is so much easier than a bunch of texts/emails.

I have already reached out to him so he has my personal number. Thank you.

Agree ^^^. When MXLocker (MXL) has acted as the middle man and threatened me when I tried to provide my cell # to work through an issue between a Buyer/Seller, gotta admit, I've gotten torqued. And then the MXL response was to the effect of ~ "did you and the Seller work it out to your satisfaction?" Umm ... WE TRIED AND GOT PUNCHED IN THE FACE. Bizarre as heck.

I've put a lot of $$$ into MXLocker's pockets and wish I would get treated like an honest adult instead of a thief.

The stats on how many transactions you've successfully generated that result in a sale/money for MXL should play into the assessment of how aggressively you're slapped by MXL.

Heck, I'd even pay an annual fee to be able to communicate directly to save time. Check the box, pay the MXL fee, talk like adults, voila, disconnects solved.

I stopped selling on MXL because of the weird Seller-released-funds trigger and this cell phone blocking thing because "everybody is a cheater" BS.

Here's my cell phone #:  504-383-6103

Flame away.

Ryan said he would call me tomorrow, I will keep my comments to myself at this time.  We will see if we can work this out.

Ryan with MX Locker did give me a call today.  He was very understanding and easy to get along with.  We did come up with a solution and I will continue to utilize MX Locker.  Also he is working on a call center to avoid things like this in the future that can be handled with a simple phone call.

I would suggest some sort of email reminder for sellers when they get a question or to mark items sold. I’ve tried to contact 3 or 4 guys about bikes they are selling, and never received one reply. It gets frustrating.

Sounds like Offerup or FBM🤣

F@#k MX Locker. Seller screwed me out of a Hinson Clutch. Said right on the add, Honda 250r Hinson Clutch. Even texting with him. "Yeah, man the Hinson clutch is great, I use it when I race outdoor." Dude sent me a used, stock clutch with a Hinson clutch cover. Mx locker said its my fault cause apparently I didn't open it within 2 days. They're also horrible about responding to such requests. So if somebody shits in box and sends it to you, your screwed. I read the terms and conditions, and all the shit MX Locker says. That its a safe place, made by racers for racers. Its a crock of shit. They're seller biased cause that's who they collect They're fees from. They still haven't responded to show me where in the terms and conditions it says 2 days. Seller hasn't responded either. On another sale they threatened us to be kicked off Mx locker if we communicated outside of They're website. Yeah so "F" Mx locker bunch of scammers collecting fees for what we've been doing for years on Marketplace and Vital. End Rant

Used them several times. Never had a problem. Bought Helmet, boots, gear, goggles. Most looked brand new as sellers had  advertised. Unfortunate some have had issues. I’d use them again. And can recommend based on MY experiences.

Great thing is MXLocker is Moto only so its not flooded with stuff to sort through like ebay and amazon are.

We have been selling on MXLocker for a little over a year and made 100+ sales and other than a customer accidentally purchasing the wrong item and there being no way he could cancel it even with their help so he could order the correct kit it’s been pretty good. The customer and I were able to communicate and work it out but it did force the customer to pay a little more.

International sales just started last night with us receiving 2 of them. We will see how long it takes for those funds to be released to us to see if we continue with international sales through them.

There are a couple quirky things that keep happening that we have fixed multiple times and it keeps popping up.

One quirk is Tagging our product name time after time and it keeps removing it. Another strange thing is our product name is 2 words Moto Hose not Motohose as they have us listed.

They could add the new model years faster so we can tag products accordingly.

There was a slight increase in the % recently.

I've bought a set of Forks, and several other items from MX Locker. Forks were a little more banged up than the seller indicated, but all in all I got a fair deal all things considered.

@mx_locker --- please fix the following ASAP:
(1) When I select the credit card in the dropdown menu that I want to pay with, the app always pays with the first card in the list no matter what I select --- THIS IS RESULTING IN CREDIT CARDS I DO NOT WANT TO USE GETTING CHARGED --- AND THIS COULD BE SERIOUS FOR FOLKS WHO HAVE DONE SPECIAL BALANCE TRANSFERS, ETC. See #2 ...
(2) I cannot delete credit cards out of my account no matter what if I have "Pending Offers" --- and these are not offers I made, they are offers from Sellers who have made me offers --- I did not ask for them, they should not prevent me from making financial decisions for myself --- and they are
(3) See #2 above - I don't want to have to take action on offers I did not initiate. Don't make me decline a pending offer from a Seller I am not negotiating with before I can make account changes.

Please fix these ASAP.

@mx_locker , continued from above ...

Request #4:
When rating Sellers, option to be anonymous is only on app, not web.
Suggest making default selection "anonymous."

Also when using the bike specific search, it doesn't work.  Say for instance you want to see all the suspension parts for a YZ 250, the search will just spit out ALL suspension parts.  This should be a relatively simple thing to fix,  but it has been like this for years.

Are you searching the term “yz250 suspension” ?

I have been using Mx locker to build both my bikes and have been very happy with both buying and selling.

Thumbs up from me.

It’s ok but the fees they charge to sell stuff is outrageous. And you have to wait for your money till the shipment arrives… I can see that at first but if you sell a few time and you build a feedback page they should automatically release the funds.

I slowed down on selling there when the fees went up

Yeah. Atleast with eBay you get better shipping rates and don’t have to wait on the person to mark the package as received to start the payout process. That can get a little aggravating

My last 2 orders on MXLocker:

(1) Package lost, UPS calling me as part of case and making sure to ask "are you sure you don't have it?" Um - yeah - it shows it never left your facility.

(2) Today I got a message (after a week+) that "we're sorry, but we can't find your parts." Guy is trying to sell me something else now.

Fugg.

Here's my observation with MXLocker:

(1) The app development is loosey-goosey, this thread right here is where they get a lot of troubleshooting help. I find this odd given the financial transaction nature of the business, but I am also from an older generation where sw/apps/sites had a lot more rigor in general. I think this is the modern norm - I really do.

(2) Dirt bike dudes have a lot of tolerance. I'm not losing my mind over the above, but it is an irritant. Why do I go back? There's cool stuff in 1 spot I can buy on the spot. That has value.

There is not motivation for MXLocker to tighten things up if they are not losing business and everything is legal/legit.

So I accept it for the benefit I generally get.

But, @Ryan.Amoils - please figure out these 2 transactions, I don't want to spend more time screwing around with your site/purchase idiosyncrasies. Just refund me please.

We’ve seen packages continually get lost by USPS, and UPS and that is something out of our control. Sellers get paid $100 no matter what, and we refund buyers as part of our protections.

Ultimately, UPS and USPS losing packages we have zero control over, and them calling you is due to a claim being opened on the package.

I’ve put my personal email multiple times on this thread, if there is no movement on your orders in 7 business days, we’re happy to immediately refund your order.

For direct communication, please email me with your order numbers, or your username and I’m happy to help out. We’ve served tens of thousands of satisfied customers on MX Locker, and I’m here to make your experience the same.

I have the same issue. I’ll search for something like “YZ250 clutch” and I’ll get KTM clutches and everything else. Dealing that that and having to sort through all the dealers selling things at MSRP, I’ve kind of been pulled away from using it.

I will say though, I’ve bought probably 10-12 items off MXL and always had good luck. It’s just the search results and full price dealers that cause the issues I have.

“Parts for your bike” (my bike is a 2024 YZ 250x) and these are some of the results I get.

The app definitely needs some updating. I'll have filters all set up (not really filtering as it should like you mentioned) and view an item then click back and it glitches and sends me all the way back to my home screen.

And the retail sellers are annoying. I go there because I'm on a budget and I'm looking for something second hand. Which to my understanding was the basis of the entire app to begin with. At the very least create a retail tab and a used tab. I understand you can filter out new and used but again it doesn't actually filter out the retail items.

rant done.

I've sold about $1k of stuff on there in the last couple of years. I prefer to give my fees to mxlocker than Ebay.

I've bought about $500 of stuff like used riding gear, some new and used parts for my own and my customers bikes. I like having a few bucks on there from stuff I've sold so there's always a pot of money for 'emergency' dirt bike stuff, lol.

Can anyone confirm whether or not you get notifications on your phone (assuming you use the app) when something sells on MXLocker?

I only get notifications regarding sales or promos, etc.,but nothing regarding when one of my items has sold. I find out when I check my email.

Post a reply to: Anyone use MX Locker?
