Anyone else catch this? Not sure if Tim really gained anything by doing this as it affected the next corner for him but Gajser did this several laps. Going outside the trackmarkers several laps. Sorry for the video quality.

Also, why is everyone so enamored with track markers or riders going outside of them at times… not sure why it’s that important?

Take that 1-1 off him, you can’t be beating the FMOTP by looking for a better line. He should have stayed in his roost and followed him home.
Honestly, I don't even think he was outside the marker. It looks like that white marker was snapped off and laying on the track. You can see Tiga's line going inside of a small white spot, which looks to me like the buried, remaining part of the marker. You can see it right between the "U" and the "R" in "PARTS EUROPE" on the banner behind him.
What about the pass Jett made on Tim on the inside of the left hander where he rattled the white course markers? 😎

Cheater line?.....Laughs in "Mike Alessi @ Hangtown 2005" going off the track and around the bales for a smooth line. Never docked for it.
