I want Gajser but I think it will be Prado. He now finally has the rest of the skills to match is starting prowess.

The fact that Herlings is a fairly distant 3rd tells you how well he’s been riding.

It will be tricky, hopefully it will go down to the final moto (from a fan perspective). I'm a bigger Gajser fan then Prado. They definitely both deserve the title though

I think Tim gets it done. These two have been evenly matched all year, both “deserve” it, the pressure is through the roof. I think that pressure will create some weird results.

84 probably doesn’t care who wins, and realistically what is KTM gonna do to him if he decides he’s out there just riding for himself? And there’s this other really fast guy #3 that even won a moto last week….pretty sure he had a quote from last year that went something like “Jorge Prado is an asshole”. I don’t think Seewer is a big fan either. Fernandez is a great teammate to have in this situation as well.

243 ends up champ again.

Jeff Stanton is on his way over 😉

I don't really care who wins, I just want to see some exciting racing.  But, Prado deserves the title if you prioritize speed over consistency.  Prado has 10 overalls to Gasjers 4.  Prado should be up by alot more than 7 points honestly, but his bad races were really bad (and his seat falling off) whereas Gasjer was not usually as fast, but stayed around the top 3 every weekend until China.

Someone has to know but who has passed who more out of Prado and Gajser this year? Prado usually has the  start so usually it’s Gajser playing catch up, but Prado was much better this year when he didn’t get the start.

One thing is for sure, Prado has completely elevated his passing game this year. The points don't show how he is actually riding. On his good days he rides hard packed tracks like Herlings rides the sand imo. I'm a big Gajser fan and still think he is the most underrated champion ever, but Prado has better stats everywhere this year. He has a DNF and absolutely threw away two mud races and a qualifying race and you can't do stuff like that vs Gajser who is consistently on the podium.

One of the best rides this year, that last pass on Gajser was filthy.

That was good. But his rides at the first Spanish round imo was the best

Prado, because a 1-1-1 doesn’t get it done for Gajser.

Tim needs guys in between and JH84 isn’t gonna do that. The 84 will be the main guy for KTM in the next few years as Prado leaves. He is smart enough to know or been told to help Prado/KTM with the title.

All hopes are on Febvre,Renaux or Seewer at this point, but the last 2 crashed pretty hard in China so I don’t see them that ready and the will to send..

Tim should try and mess with Jorge his starts all 3 times with the hopes he doesn’t get a good one and has a hard time to make passes… That’s the only chance in my mind.

Fernandez is the wildcard in this, he has been a good road block in China, what can and will he do? Will he run it hard on Prado?

How does a 1-1-1 for Gajser if Prado goes 2-2-2 not give Gajser the title? That's a 7 point difference, which is what Gajser is behind. They would end tied on points. Is the winner of the last race not the tie-breaker?

The rider with most overall GP win the title if they are tie and in the case they are tie on GP wins too, the rider with more race wins...

Prado due to his starts, such bad luck for Gajser after grinding out so many Motos to lead, can't help he's been finishing many recent Motos in control mode as in the run down to the end of the championship though

Has anyone seen any info about the failure / damage to the LH Footpeg on Tim's  bike at the last GP?

I've gone looking , a bit, and have seen no reportage on it. Which is bloody strange as it really was a pivotal (bad pun, I know) moment in the Title battle.

You can see his peg at right angles  / upside down in the pits, giving him No chance of  secure footing.

A broken peg arm / mount / broken or torn out  fixing bolt? Either way, it just destroyed his chances in that moto. And, the extra exertion from riding one footed, really couldn't have helped in  the 2nd moto.

S**t happens, but it was a bummer for Tiga - he's a great bloke, and a worthy , Multi Time Champion, and he will be up against it in Spain, with  Jorge.

I think Prado will win it but i hope Gajser wins it. Imo it is good for MXGP if the reigning champion is in MXGP next season.

Also its quite a shame for MXGP that Prado moves to the US, Just look at Motogp how much potential there is for getting money in our sport from Spain.
