I have to say, I was stunned by him saying that.

Never  would I have thought to hear that sort of thing from 'The Man'.

If everyone gets their wish and DeCoster steps down, there will be nobody pushing for an American team, the manufacturers and AMA don't care.

Yes, I'm sure the next manager will sit around waiting for someone to field a team.

It would create super-duper interest in the race if Tomac & Deegs both went.

Deegs isn’t going, initially because Eli wasn’t, now ironically Eli might end up going but not Deegan.

No. I wanted Tomac to go in AP's place too, but the decision was made. AP also looks pretty good now anyway.

You don't commit to a choice/decision like this then pull the rug out. That's not at all how these things work.

Correct, want the reasonable best team. If a rider refuses and only goes when it's comfortable and chance of winning I'm fine with passing on that rider.

But in this scenario a few weeks ago, Tomac said let's send AP because he is better and has deserved it. I think reversed should also apply. There is no discussion Tomac is better. So why don't AP step down when he hasn't been able to ride properly, and Tomac has shown he is better.

He rode just fine Saturday. No reason for him to step down. From now on we should wait until the week before the race to pick the team to see who's riding better that particular week. Or they can not be disingenuous and stick with the rider they originally chose.

The AMA has to organize a team per its affiliation agreement with the FIM.

As for the manufacturers they don't see value in the event and current leadership hasn't done anything to create value or otherwise convince them there is value in the event.

Why does anyone think plessinger is the one that can’t go.  He was never on the chopping block.

I’m think it’s just wishful thinking and wanting the best possible team. I absolutely love AP and he fucking shreds, but both Eli and Chase shred a little harder.

Chase to Eli is no drop off...  In fact, on hard pack, I might choose Eli over Chase...  AP is riding his ass off and Coop going to be all in on that Star 250.

I LIKE IT!!
