Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
Yes, it's completely unacceptable.
I would like to see someone like Rick Johnson or Brock Glover manage it personally. Roger D has ran some of the best teams but there’s definitely a conflict of interest there.
One man's vision changed the World . . . but Factory Teams need to step up like Team Honda did in 1981.
I say, have each factory team send only their racers each year and rotate teams the next year to eliminate team vs team spying . . .
Go Team USA!

Rick Johnson, Jeff Ward, David Bailey & Jeremy McGrath. 4 man team of legends, let them vote.
It’s not insane for a company that is competing directly against another in racing and in sales of machines to object to the manager of the MXdN because they are the director of a competitors race team. It should be someone independent and at the minimum not involved(ie employed) with a factory racing effort. Paul Perebinjos (sp?) for example, or DV(that would be incredible).
That’s actually a kind of cool idea. It would drastically reduce our chances to win and Honda couldn’t even field us a team but interesting.
Kevin Windham.
Lol. This shit again. As Jimmy "Smokes" Leyland the legendary baseball manager used to say. "I can't hit for them; I can't catch for them, and I can't throw for them".
I understand your reasoning, but the point is Decoster is the current reason Kawasaki will not compete. That is roughly one out of four or five factory riders in this country. If Decoster was truly interested in USA's team being competitive he would step down.
No, picking a team manager for sentimental and historical reasons does nothing for the here and now. Keeping Decoster resigns our team to "could maybe win" every year rather than "we must win". Why waste going if that is the case, just give Decoster a participation trophy every year and save the time, effort, and money. Great job grandpa you led the team another year! Has anybody asked team Kawasaki who they would like to manage the team? Could one of our "journalists" do that, or is that too controversial?
Changing team managers isn't going to change Kawi's position on the MXDN....
Is this genuinely true or just opinion? They have sent riders in the past, Ward, Villopoto...
He can't understand that.
Roy Janson stepped up in 1992 after Roger dropped out. USA won that year.
It’s not as much about how the riders do when there racing. More about everything else leading up to it.
Those were before Bruce got involved....
LOL
Brilliant plan, let’s let Kawasaki dictate who gets the job. Kawasaki MX management who are notorious for being assclowns at times.
Let’s give it to some blogger/journalist who doesn’t know shit…but thinks he is a genius…as they all do. I am sure they will have ZERO affiliation with any companies…yeah right. Thats BS. Their sponsors will be the cat bird seat.
DeCoster w/others have some years single-handedly kept us in the race due to their knowledge/experience/team connections..
Now everyone wants on the bandwagon because it’s easy again in 2025 being on American soil again..
Broc Glover is an excellent choice, IMO. I'm a huge DeCoster fan, and always will be, but just like any other leadership position...there should be an age limit or a well defined tenure limitation. We can't have extreme manufacurer bias or personal issues interfere with a winning American team going to MXoN.
Pit Row
People have been calling for him to step down as mxdn manager for years. It’s nothing new. IMO it’s not a job for anyone that is already working for a factory team.
Roger earned his stripes..earned our numerous wins when nobody wanted it.
Some AMA nobody bureaucrat should get it? Some blogger? Some influencer? All being set up to be Instagram famous in 2025 with Monster, Deegans, etc all kissing their ass to be on the team?
Hence the push to get the job for 2025…..
When Roger does decide to step down it will be a cluster
He is the winningest MXDN team manger in history....so there's that....
He is 80 years old too, so there is that. He is also an employee of a manufacturer that competes against many of the teams expected to send riders as well, so there is that as well.
This was never an issue when we were winning every year. Pretty sure Rog has been a “competing manager” for decades
You said some nobody/influencer not me. There are plenty of former racers and industry folk that could run it. Whether interested or not who knows but here’s a start
Paul P
DV
LaRocco
KW
RC
Tony Alessi ( laugh if you want but he’d have the team fired up)
Just a few that come to mine
Same as it’s been since 1981…
Many years we wouldn’t have sent a team without Roger.
Now I suspect some Blogger/Journalist wants the job…hence the Internet push to take it over.
Roger DeCoster has always stated the MXDN is the most important race of the year. There will never be anybody that loves this race more than Roger. If you think he doesn't have the best interest in America winning this race you are mistaken.
Also the losingest, I presume
Great list no doubt
When Roger decides to step away all would be great candidates.
However not one is going to instantaneously improve our results, bring Kawi back into the fold, fix the funding issues, get the Deegans not to care more about an 8 race regional feeder SX series title, etc.
It’s Rogers job until he doesn’t want it anymore
Tony Alessi🟢
Happens with riders often. Deano, Vlanderin, pretty much everyone that has rode for Puerto Rico, etc.
