Would anyone be surprised if Tomac says he's willing to go now, and Deegan pulls some weird reasoning out of his ___ to say "guess what, guys, I CAN go now!!"
I'm not a fan of how it would have to play out, but good Lord a team of Sexton, Tomac and Deegan would be absolutely insane.
It's a dumb take to people that don't have pride in anything and use money as their reference for everything good/bad/right/wrong in life. I think it's a gross way to live, but people are certainly welcome to it.
Cooper Webb in for Chance Hymas. On a 250!
I guess you didn't get the memo

Webb MX2
I think if they had it every two years there might be renewed interest from many riders.
Jesus teach you all that black hearted rage?
Please can we get Tomac to replace AP7???????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
webb dropping down to mx2? lol but star wont support the race i thought???? LMAO wow..
Hymas out and Paul in!! This is actually good news!!
Cooper Webb for MX2
Fuck ya Coop.
The only good thing that come out of this is that we can finally put the ”Star won’t support the race” to rest and scratch that from the excuse list…
Hey Herr dog can you leave this in the other thread? Maybe keep this one somewhat deeg free?
Fair enough! Had to get a jab in here though.
Would rather have JCoop than CW on an outdoor track…. But hard for beggars to be choosers.

Despite riding with a torn ACL this season, Hymas has been able to perform at a high level, scoring the first overall victory of his professional career in @promotocross and tallying a total of four podium overall results and an additional four top-five overall finishes.
Unfortunately, Hymas aggravated the injury during the opening @SuperMotocross round on September 7. With the goal of retaining his spot on Team USA for the October 6 MXoN, he pulled out of the remainder of the SMX series, but after further consultation, Hymas and his team have decided it is more prudent to have the injury repaired as soon as possible. Even though there was high confidence that, after two weeks off, he would be able to perform at a high level, the possibility of reaggravating the injury and adversely affecting Team USA’s result was also a consideration.
Luckily, Star Yamaha and Cooper Webb have stepped up and volunteered to take Chance’s spot for the event, with Webb dropping down to a 250 from his usual 450. Everyone at American Honda wishes Team USA well. Meanwhile, Hymas will focus on returning to action in time for the 2025 AMA Supercross 250 East series.
Pit Row
Wait so Hymas is electing surgery instead of being a Patriot? Huh
Sounds like you don’t know what ‘elective surgery’ means?
LFG Paul!!!! 💪🏼🇺🇸
Hymas getting an acl repair months after tearing isn’t elective? What category or surgery would you put it in then?
'Even though there was high confidence that, after two weeks off, he would be able to perform at a high level, the possibility of reaggravating the injury and adversely affecting Team USA’s result was also a consideration."
Deegan didn't have an injury as such, he's getting hardware removed. Therefore, no chance of reaggravating anything.
I would have thought JCoop would be a more logical choice than Webb, wonder what the deciding factor was?Never been a Webb fan, but he just went up a notch, no matter how he does.
So who’s paying Star to send the bike and crew?
Props for Webb stepping up, but man is he going to get smoked over there.
Perhaps you don’t?
Jcoop hurting his shoulder in Texas probably had something to do with the decision
That extra screw in there ain't a good thing. Just a temp thing to make it stronger. If he bends one of those screws, that wouldn't be good. He's still very young and it's better to be safe than sorry. Personally I'd do the same thing he's doing, I hated hardware and always had it removed ASAP.
I agree that they should not have to spend their own money to go.
But I also agree with Byke that taking the guys that are stepping up and wanting to go for Pride are the right guys to go.
Somebody that wants to be there and is fighting to be on the team is more likely to put their best ride in over somebody who might be better in the regular AMA races , but is not into going to the race. They are more likely to not put that extra effort in if its more about money than pride. If there is no prize money and nothing to gain $$ wise, You need somebody who is willing to line up for other reasons at this race. At least the way they run it.
Perhaps I missed a lot of this conversation by jumping in when I did. So I apologize if that is the case.
Yeah, and also, Brian has first hand experience with this type of stuff and is teaching his son the same things you mentioned. I totally understand why he isn't going, there will be more opportunities, especially if he stays on the path he's on right now.
