Dude, haven’t you heard?  Chris Wray is the most on -the-ball director the FBI has ever had…

They’re  right on par with the Secret Service!

Read this, this morning.

Why are any of us not surprised at this.

Seems these days, hiding right under their noses, is the safest place to be.

Feds are too busy being used for strong arming political opponents.

Rooftop shooters.

School shooters.

Armed gangs taking over housing, etc...

Ain't got time for that trivial shit.

Another cute downvote haha. I always get a good chuckle picturing the loser clicking on every persons post and vehemently clicking that button.

We have such high levels of freedom that are protected by the highest laws of the land, that it makes things that seem obvious, not so easy. If this were a shitty country, they'd just arrest the entire family and keep them in a holding cell for as long as they whimsically felt like doing so. Here, where that kind of thing ends careers and costs agencies/taxpayers a hundred million dollars in a slam dunk lawsuit, where the people being questioned literally don't have to say a word and can't really be held for more than a few days in extreme cases, there's sometimes not much to be done until the pre-crime department is up and running, but they're still struggling to get the precog juice just right.

I don't feel like that post provides enough information to determine much about the parents, let alone that they're pieces of shit.

Horrible event.  There's no way to rationally understand such an irrational act.

The local authorities interviewing the father and son in 2023 is going to be interesting to view from a 'red flag laws' perspective.  I don't know where the line is where the government should be able to take action to strip the right to bear arms, so finding out how far down the rabbit hole they got is going to be worth paying attention to.

Colt Gray was on the FBI's radar since last year when he made a shooting threat...  I'm all for protecting the 2nd amendment, but if your family makes a threat to shoot up a school, they should probably be put on some sort of watch list.... instead of tulsi gabbard.

they purchased the rifle AFTER he was known to the FBI for making a school shooting threat.

my question to the FBI:

What legal authority does the FBI have to deny the purchase of a gun to an individual that is without criminal conviction or indictment and not subject to a restraining order and not addicted to drugs or alcohol?

What should the FBIs course of action be for a 13 year old that makes threats on discord?

What should the FBIs course of action be for a 63 year old that makes threats on vitalmx.com?

Law enforcement seemed to have been satisfied that it wasn't him, or that they had no evidence that it was him...no? We also dont know what it means to be given the gun. If I were given a gun at 13, it would have meant that it didn't stay in my room with me.

Doesn't paint a picture of a very happy childhood. Moms a drug addict/thief. Dads an idiot for buying his obviously troubled son a gun.

I hope the shooters sister can get some help. Poor girl. I wonder if the rest of the extended family is fucked up too.

does nobody in this country use a safe to keep their guns out of reach?

thank God that girl that went to open the door decided not to, otherwise we may be looking at a much higher body count.  also amazing that he didn't off himself like most of them do.  fuckin' piece of shit.

i find it completely tragic that we have to keep talking about this stuff.  i'm getting to the point that i don't want my 4 year old starting kindergarten next year.  incomprehensible to imagine your school age child being subject to shit like this.

i don't have the answers but whatever we are "doing" about it is clearly not working. T's and P's are not going to cut it.

also, the FBI yet again proves how absolutely worthless they are.

edit.... dad bought him the gun and still didn't put it in a safe, after being "flagged" as a potential school shooter.  wow.  exemplary parenting there.

shooting from the hip here (pardon the pun)

but maybe the FBI should actually handle the cases that bring up red flags instead of handing it off to Officer Farva of Chicken Licks PD.  instead they can keep being the middle man with no responsibility to the issue and keep pointing fingers at the local departments.  seems to me that the incompetence of the FBI is a long running joke that nobody finds funny.  it's insane.

The Dad will be going to prison and maybe he can share a cell with his worthless kid. Both parents of other school shooter Ethan Crumbley are doing prison time so its a good start to lock up these scumbag parents

Keep locking up the parents that assist in these shootings if they can't be responsible gun owners.

The kid had the right to free speech, the right to bear arms, and hadn't committed a crime, what could the FBI do?

The kid was 13 he had no rights. You cant walk in and buy a gun at age 13 now can you. He was 100% the sole responsibility of his shit bag parents.

The second amendment doesn't specify a minimum age to bear arms. If you don't like it, amend the amendment.

The constitution does not need amending.

As I said there is no minimum age specified in the second amendment...

"Amendment II

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."
