Well that blows for everyone.. I hope they all find rides. GL8 should have his own team anyway although I wouldn't want to buck up the cash.

when monster bailed out i think it was the sign that it was sinking, they put their money on hanny and they were wright, in mx as cool as ou can be you have to put in the work...!!!

I'm shocked, "young punk gets wad of cash" "young punk blows wad of cash" the end.

it sure would be nice if someone from the Team would just say what's going on.

J-Law just disappeared and the Team too.

It seems more fitting that a guy like Langston would have the team and have a young guy like J-law on it. But I guess GL realizes that the only quicker way to burn money other than actually burning it is to sponsor and fund an MX team.

sucks for Jason and Scott.

I know Scott put a lot into that team and it really sucks for our sport that Jason and the team are out.

we need the JLaws in our sport. otherwise, we have a bunch of Andrew Shorts. Andrew is a super nice kid, but boring as hell.

Jlaw will be like josh hansen was this year. He will clean up and mitch payton will give him a shot. I predict 2012 250 west supercross champion for Lawrence. Im not a Lawrence fan but i can see this happening.

In all the J-law threads I have dug my heels in on one thing. YOU CAN'T REPLACE TALENT ON A MOTORCYCLE.

When / If Jlaw decides he wants to be a part of this sport, a ride will be available and he will do good. it's that simple. Just like Hansen. Josh wants to be a part of this sport, when for a while he didn't. He is talented and can win. Just like Hill, everyone wrote him off last year.

Think about this scenario...... Do you think having your own team can add to the pressure and stress and drive you away from the sport? I mean the rumors have been for months about the demise of the team, surely we can all see that may be a reason for the seclusion and dnf's.

I have wanted to start my own company and be my own boss a few different times. But when I think about the stresses of having emloyess, sacrificing paychecks, and just the everday stresses that come with being a business owner I get less excited about it. Honestly, knowing I am getting a paycheck and letting someone else worry about everything else feels pretty good sometimes.

Maybe I am completely wrong and the kid has major problems, even if he does though... All the bashing here should stop. He is a kid with a lot of talent who spent a lot of his own money to start his own team. Many teams have folded over the years and got a lot less heat.

Talent on a motorcycle is the hardest thing to come by, not even the hardest workers have that. Our sport is forgiving, a ride will be there if he wants to come back. Nobody knows the real reasons and an explanation isn't "owed" by anybody. It would be nice to know why but I for one just hope the kid the best, he kept racing inteesting and not so stale and I haven;t seen a vital thread about him less than a couple pages.

Sucks for GL, but he is a champion and I am sure he will be ok and Hammy just can't catch a break..... man.

They fucked it up plain and simple. I'll take a gate full of guys like Andrew Short for our sport any day. Clean harding working kid, wife, family. Ain't that America? Remember seeing his face on the back of the medic mule after he crashed in SX? He CARES. He is a PROFESSIONAL. And I hope Honda re signs him. He deserves it. Works his ass off.

Jason has talent, but obviously isnt into putting the work in. Weak minded people quit when things get tough. Carry on...

aw but its so much easier to get behind a guy with a unprofessional raw attitude, talent but no commitment than a PROFESSIONAL like Short.

Its a built-in excuse for his slacker fans, Ya man JLaw would rule if he was serious about training... Ya JLaw just doesn't have the equipment... Ya, If JLaw had funding... If JLaw had someone to manage his affairs... The list goes on and on.

Jason Lawrence had everything he needed to succeed but the desire. He failed, walked out AND more sponsors (inside and outside the industry) have been burned which makes it that much harder for people with the drive to see it through to get anything.

Bottom line: We don't need people like JLaw in this sport.

Man, there are some angry, bitter people on here. Regis is spot on. People forget that JLaw earned his original spot on YoT by putting in very impressive results on a pos Suzuki in the Nats. You guys act like he is 30 and is done, he's so young and has many years left to dick around and can come back whenever he wants. Remember when K Dub broke his leg and almost quit, then came back on the Honda 450 and schooled RC a couple times before settling down and now he has one of the longest careers in the sport's history. The kid is far from done. Someone get him back with Ryno and he'll be on a PC 450 in 2011.

X2
It doesn't suck one bit when a multi-time loser like J-Law, yet again, fails the sport and his (lemming) fans. What the hell has the sport lost? Give me guys like Shorty that actually work their butts off and CARE about the sport. Hell, give me the guys working out of the back of a van that scrap to make a living racing. Boring? Just dayum.

Well said Andy. Spot on.

Worth registering to second the argument. And one doesn't have to be a slacker to appreciate that level of talent in a racer. Perspective can be earned over time -- sometimes earned the hard way. Lawrence still has the time to apply his talent in the future.

Until he faces the fact that he is "self-destructive" and gets the appropriate help, Jason will continue to be the primary source of his own frustration and failure.

Self-destructive. Say it out loud, Jason. Look at yourself in the mirror and say it again.

Then get someone to talk to and get it out of your system before it gets you for good. You still have time.
