Xrays and Dr visit on Monday and were told they need to have the totally elective surgery ASAP..... and by ASAP we mean a month from now after 3 more races.... which only leaves 3 months to recover from a very minor procedure..... and haiden said on motoxpod on Monday night after that appointment that the procedure wouldn't prevent him from doing the race.... but it's complicated..... and star isn't supporting the race this year despite supporting it for years and tomac must not have gotten the memo this year since he came back in part to audition for the race.... and it was widely reported that Deegan would go if eli did.... presumably with star's support.... seriously though haiden really really really wanted to go but since him and his family are so opposed to making waves and speaking out they have respectfully gone along with the decision that was totally made by star despite it being the opposite of what their golden goose wanted.
These clowns really think we're this stupid. I don't really care if he doesn't want to go, but stop treating everyone like they're retarded and just own up to your decision.

Having read about 3 pages of this thread, I can see that a lot of folks really really really want to see Deegan ride!! The negative Nancys apparently really are huge fans, they definitely wanted to see him at MXoN as clearly pointed out in this thread. No matter what you say, whatever facts are presented, whatever logistical challenges (bringing 1 rider vs. 2+), no matter if two or so weeks DO have an impact on the 2025 season, none of that matters. I never thought I would see grown tough men behave this way over an 18 year old kid, but here we are.

Deegan is a kid with a long bright future ahead of him if he stays healthy, healthy is the key word. To condemn him for not being a patriotic altruistic for a motorcycle race smacks of pettiness and posturing. As those that wrap themselves in the flag condemning him for not going to a bike race, should perhaps look inward to see if they are as patriotic as they can be, rather than curse this teenager needing surgery.

The doctor's recommendations have not changed. There is no medical rationale for it being fine to race 3 more times but not fine to race 4 more times. It's an elective procedure. if it were about the wrist and recovery time, he could have announced in January that he would be out for this race.
