Bad starts both motos but didn't really make a charge in either moto. Bad round or sign of things to come?

I am not a big Dungey fan, but to count this kid out on the first round is silly.

His finish was respectful.

What do you mean by he didn't make a charge?? Both motos he charged from way back. 1st moto he crashed early and charged up to 10th.. 2nd moto after a horrible start he got 6th.. Both motos he was moving forward til the checkered..You're not going to see anyone go from mid-back pack to the podium. RD salvaged a decent day and will be a title contender.

You guys are really rediculous.

Theres still 22 more motos! Hes playing it safe, look how far its got him the last year and a half. You cant win a championship in the first race but you can sure loose it!

In both Motos he past the guys that he should clearly be faster than. Once he got into the pack of people that have comparable speed he went nowhere fast.

Not an easy track to pass on IMO. I think he'll be OK. Like mxrider 225 said, easy to lose the championship in first round, not so easy to win it. Or something along those lines. LOL

Reed made the podium from a bad start in the second moto.

I don't think Dungey would have been on the podium even with good starts today, maybe top five. I do however think he will improve immensely from today.

He was one spot behind reed at one point in moto 2, and I am pretty sure he got to the podium. Dungey was slow for him all day.

I am discounting him as the second coming... as a great rider no.

Dungey is, like it or not "The Guy" to beat a lot of people including myself expected a better performance.

Remember guys. My view of the race was through a horrible 1st moto (buffering,no sound) webcast with no live timing. and no post race lap charts. And I completely missed at least 10 min of the 1st 450 moto from buffering and freezing video. The sec moto was a horrible audio feed with announcers that never let you know what was going on past 5th place and once again no live wire til lap 8 of the 250 moto. Oh and no post race lap charts anywhere. Hell I had better coverage last week from the 4 stroke nationals at GH.. at least the live timing worked.---

But hey at least my fellow mx brothers from 1/2 way around the world in Australia got perfect live TV coverage in their homes..

What I was saying in that rant was I'm probably less informed then normal at this point and I could be wrong..lol

It wasn't perfect but cool to watch relatively live!!!

Kinda funny sometimes, it seemed we were getting direct sattelite feed before any edits...

Weege would say, look at the points table here, and they would just be looking at the clouds... Or you could here the sponsor messages sliding in and out and nothing would be there...

funny...

Watching the second moto Dungey came 13th and Grant 14th, both were on Reeds back wheel when Reed was in 10th, so at one stage they were running 10th,11th and 12th.

Reed took a lot of time to pass guys like Regal and others i thought he would blow away, looked difficult to pass on that track, Reed slowly moved forward and into 3rd with some great passes, Dungey got going late and made his way to 6th not a bad effort, Grant i dont think move much further forward.

Dont know how anyone could count Dungey out, a Good day today not great, 22 motos to go, another 22 good motos with a few great ones thrown in there and he is in the hunt for the championship.

Dont forget that the two guys up front have spent a lot of time getting ready for outdoors while Dungey was concentrating on the SX title. He will come good and finish 3rd in the series behind Reed and Metty Smile , sorry 4th Think Townley will take 3rdSmile

Bad round. These guys are only has good as there starts. Everyone thinks this rider or that rider is RC or Stewart. Those two are the only guys that had the ability to shred the field with a bad start. Dungey is fine and will win a few moto's this summer.
