Exactly, I only took a few bucks from You. I don't think it will hurt you. So You should agree right?  The owner of something shouldn't be able to decide who can access it or not right ?  

 I tend to think that live streaming by fans will not hurt the series or the company doing the streaming of the full races. I honestly think that it could help bring more people out to live events. And a platform like Youtube can make things blow up by just giving more people access to it. There are attractions like a ghost town that became popular from Instagram posts . They are making money because people come and post from their locations. I think that there could be a way that it can be done and be a benefit. 

 The thing is, that I could be 100% correct and it doesn't matter. Its up to whoever owns the streaming rights to decide what is good or bad for their product.  

The crazy thing here is that the people that are mad about him being booted are mad that a media member was booted.  But IF he is acting as media he was breaking the rules about livestreaming.  I believe his best defense in this case was that he was NOT acting as media, just acting as a fan.  Why should all the other media be restricted by the timeframes they can not publish video and Cooksey get a pass??  He was just livestreaming practice right?  Not exposing some grand crime that the Coombs were committing. Not exposing some illegal activities. 

  He was breaking a rule that is in place to help the sport. It is in place to help the people who pay for the streaming and TV rights maximize that investment. And hopefully help keep them around and increase the value of those rights.

I agree that the coverage helps keep people engaged.  That timeframe may be by design. If You look up the rules for media credentials they follow a timeline. with more footage allowed as more time passes after the live event.  I copied this from the media application on MXsports website for pro mot.

Videos:  Video recording of any kind is prohibited without prior written approval from MX Sports Pro Racing, Inc. Upon approval, video access is permitted both in the paddock and on the racetrack. All recorded footage is the property of MX Sports Pro Racing, Inc. Any media taking video without approval will forfeit their credential, and the footage will be confiscated. MX Sports Pro Racing, Inc., reserves the right to request the removal of any unapproved videos from publication.

A content publisher may use videotaped or filmed excerpts of an event for news purposes up to 48 hours after the completion of the event to which they pertain.

Highlights within the 48-hour period must not exceed two minutes from any one event.

Under no circumstances may “live” excerpts of an event in progress be distributed.

For broadcast footage, a visual “courtesy” of at least four seconds must be given as the highlights appear, the visual “courtesy” should read “Courtesy SuperMotocross League/NBC Sports” and must be clearly visible.

Any video or photography of race action posted on any web site (including blogs and social media) or otherwise transmitted online may be used only for news and editorial coverage of the event and must abide by the media highlights regulations listed above.

You have the right to clip or not clip anyone you choose. But I do believe you may be best served in allowing your moderators to do the dirty work and keep the focus off yourself. Exactly. Everyone on this site who has ever posted in a Race Day thread knows we don't openly post links to live streams because it’ll get the attention of NBC’s bots and the stream will get pulled. Kooksey (illegally) live streams from the event to his Youtube page, gets the attention of NBC’s bots, and subsequently gets kicked out, and now everyone’s screaming oppression.  There’s either some truly stupid people on this board, or some of these fucks have an unhealthy hatred of DC.

It is easy to see how this individual got thrown out, he was looking to make a scene for viewership. It is not like he invented that tactic; he is motivated to make money by securing more views. Perhaps unethically, but he is motivated in a business sense. My confusion is this man is randomly going around threatening people with murder? This is factual? Why isn't he in jail?

That was my thoughts as well. As an outsider that gives no shits about the "insider clique" of moto... its crazy to see how much power the "clique" actually has.
