So how many of you guys are going to boo him?

[b:1w5mcj0n]Yes, the wall of death, as Kevin said, so I came around the corner, and I had my head down and was focused on the rut, and then I went to go gas it up the spine and I just see Ryan there… There was nothing I could do. I just hit him. I felt so bad. I didn’t mean to run him over or anything. We’re friends and he knows that… But it ended up being bad for me too because I fell in the deal too.[/b:1w5mcj0n]

It sounds like he has a guilty conscious.

Hopefully he will be able to sleep with himself.....and let's hope he will not have issues in the future with making those split second decisions that could mean life or death....

I'm waiting to see a better angle of what happened (maybe on speed or CBS) but from the speed report video, Grant's explanation seems to correspond with what you see, and sounds pretty legit. Moreover, if they're such close friends, which I wouldn't doubt, then I'm sure Grant wouldn't intentionally hurt his friend. Thanks for the update Izer and Racer X.

:D This is great news! I thought only amateurs like me rode around watching their front fender. Looks like I have a future in the pros after all!

And the RV interview ( after he's seen the video )?

Note to self: Do not ride on the same track as Josh Grant. He stares down at ruts instead of looking to the end of them.

( This probably won't be a problem ... <img class= " title="Smile"> )

wow...it really is amazing how many different opinions can come outta that video. its like everyone is seeing something different.

no wonder we have the disagreements we do regarding religion, politics, and just about everything else. even with hard video evidence and a seemingly reasonable explanation, there is still room for observation, speculation, and totally different conclusions to be drawn.

somehow i think that if RV himself came on here and called off the dogs, some of you would still be calling for grants head on a stake.

I would never do anything to risk the riding careers of either of us—that’s just dumb.

He might have not been able to avoid running into him, but from the looks of this he gassed it before he did. It should have been a bump but was significanty more.

Well, the video shows that it was either intentional or a real dumb move on Grant's part, which Grant seems to agree with. I really doubt he'd have called Villo if he had done it on purpose. On a one-to-ten scale of dumb moves, that was probably about an 11.5, but I'm not sure that's the record for dumb moves on a motocross track, so it's possible that he just didn't look up the track at the time. As far as historic dumb moves, I still think Stewart holds the record for Unadilla '05, at an estimated 11.75.

One thing for sure that is always consistant around here is the inconsistancy of judgement. It's always determined by the personalities involved.

A lot of riders were looking at their front wheels on Sat. The ruts were terrible.

What do you expect him to say? Yeah, I totally ran into him because I'm a dick.

Get over it already. It is possible that in a main event with the best lites riders in the world, things like this will happen. Can you imagine how crazy it is out there? Every one of them has their heart rate almost through the roof especially in the beginning of a race. It would be easy for shit to happen, just take it for wat it is and let it go.

I just wonder why every rider that was behind JG and RV didn't pile into them as well. I mean if it was that hard to notice the track blockage.

The AMA should park JG for a week, and see if that alters his decision making process.

I bet the other riders (the ones who actually race and were on the track that day) are laughing thier collective asses off at JGrant's explanation.

I say it looked terrible in the video, but after reading what Josh had to say and how even RV is okay with him, it clearly wasnt the dirty move everyone thinks it was. So give JG a break, im pretty sure he'll think faster the next time hes in a situation like that.

Ohh I think JGrant thinks plenty fast. That was not a very hard calculus. Lets see.... hmmmm.... decisions... decisions.... my main (make that only) rival is right in front of me.... I can hit him and I won't look bad because I didn't go out of my way to do it.... hmmmm... I can slow down, ride around him and .... crap!.... gas it duuude!!! nail that fucvker!!!

see? easy calculus. Even an mxer can figure that one out.
