Wasting his time on 250s. Move up. Staying on a 250 too long slows some of these riders progression.
I’d maybe agree with this if he was winning everything but his results are all over the place. Another year to learn some consistency and to limit the crashing wouldn’t be bad for him. He’s still young…
I think he should move up like Jett did last year. One more go at 250 SX and then 450 outdoors.
But i get it if he stays down for 2025 and goes full time 450 in 26.

Run for one sx title and move up. He has that manhandle technique that suits a 450.
He may be dominating the Mx series but let’s remember he hasn’t won a SX or MX titles. Only championship he’s one is the SMX playoff title. If he was a multi-time champion in either SX/MX 250class then I consider moving him up. Let’s wait to see if he can get this outdoor championship locked up 1st before taking about 450 class.

True he won his world championship first, now he's about to win a national championship, and then he will go for the elusive regional championship. lol
He is still pretty young. I think he should dominate 250 outdoors for another year, make some money, then move to 450s. He is two years younger than Jett. There is no reason to move up younger than Jett did. This is all assuming he can win 250 East or West in 2025/26.

He's not top 5 speed in sx yet, so there's no rush.
Win in 25 sx, go from there.
I would start with nationals on a 450, whether that be in 2025 or 2026.
If he wins mx, smx and 25 sx regional then maybe move up for 25 mx. If he gets hurt anywhere in there or doesn't win sx next year I would wait til 26.
If he was my kid or my rider I’d say another full year in 250s and if all goes to plan 450 in 26. No reason to rush it.
Now Drew Adams I don’t get why he is doing another year of futures because he looks ready now. Could be just pc is full.
Assuming he wins the outdoor title, I think Yamaha would want him to run the #1 next year on a 250. If it's all the same to him, there's no harm in doing that.
Tangential question: Do the SMX title holders run #1s during that "series?" In other words, Deegan and Lawrence, purple #1 plates?
I believe that will be the case. I think round 1 will be a red plate #1 for Deegan and a purple plate for Jett.

The career timing is not right for him to move up. 26 will be the year from what I've heard.
Drew just turned 16 not too long ago. I imagine Pro Circuit and Mitch learned their lesson with AC when it comes to rushing guys pro.
I actually think he's going to have to smooth out a bunch on the bigger bike.
There's decent logic in riding 250 west next year and then if he wins it, moving to 450 outdoors. He's got decent breaks in there to train and ride the 450... And they'll know before the "late" SX races if he's in it to win. That schedule is easier to manage than jumping in 450 for a full season like Hunter did. What will they do? No clue... I suspect we'll find out in a year or 2.

Surprised you're putting deegan with those guys as an example of how to ride a 450.
Yet both of those guys didn’t have much for their aggressive counterparts (RV, Tortelli, Albertyn, etc)
(Although Albee and Seb were two stroke days I guess)
