Hymas/Deegan Start Takeout

I believe this was a racing incident and haiden jumped the gun and didn't think before he talked once again.

One thing I've noticed he doesn't target everyone he's only done it to Hymas and Hammaker(rightfully so).

Something tells me something had happened between the two in the past because Deegz took a dig at Hymas earlier in the year for basically nothing.

It's petty but he gets us talking.

I heard him and hymas have had their run ins in amateurs, same with deegs and cochran.

Yeah, Seth, Chance, who’s the next nice kid that leads laps who Deegan goes after claiming they are trying to kill him?  Casey Cochran?

Seth is a hazard to himself and others around him, the most lack of judgement out of the "top guys", being nice doesn't exclude you from reckless riding.

And Cochran? that boy has fire in him and he will dish it out to anyone who messes with him, expect to see some fireworks between Deegan and him once Casey gets his pro career rolling, which is great stuff like this makes the sport fun.

It’s hard to like this kid because he seems to receive favorable treatment from the AMA when it comes to cutting track (Vialle got punished) , performing repairs on the track and other things in the past. I  appreciate that he has a personality but what makes me root against him is that he seems to have too many advantages by being well connected. Which is weird because his dad seems to me a self made man that made his own success whereas his son was born with a 2lap head start when it comes to racing.

Most of these parents are heavily involved in their kids racing but the only difference is that Brian gets more publicity for what he does with them wanting people to see what’s going on.  Haiden may get treated different but so did all the other phenoms like ricky with his gas or others in history not penalized.

You guys are so blind you clearly didn't read my post.  In fact I basically agreed with what you said your post below mine.  I just asked the question because I haven't seen the replay.  Guys don't dab their feet when they don't need to, so that's why I asked.  I'm not saying he cut off Deegan and that's my proof.

Yeah my post wasn't directed at you, it was the other two guys who were seeing so much red they didn't actually read and understand my post.  Both of them responded as if I said Chance cutover on him, but, for those who read my post they would understand I said just the opposite.

I asked why Chance dabbed his foot and now I know, it's because he said he was falling.  Got it.  Anyone have a link to the replay?  It will take me more than 15 seconds to load peacock and scroll to the incident, and I really don't care enough to do that unless someone else posted it somewhere.

You don't have to look hard the replay is in the first post in this thread

I think team Deegan views Hymas as a part of team Lawrence

Dumbgeon worthy post for sure.

Bingo...

Hymas obviously isn't trying to take out anybody...

Deegan still cries, and thats after crying and threatening other riders all season...

Makes no sense.

The best one is the one from the inside that's posted a little later.

Yes no one can do it w/o parents. It’s only about him already having the perfect set up (bikes, place to train, never will have to worry about money) he doesn’t also need the AMA to shield him from points penalties they readily hand out to other riders.

this just came to me; didn’t some poor kid commit career suicide when claiming his bike at lorettas? And suddenly you had all kinds of people start to get involved. I hate that. ( if that wasnt Deegan pls ignore)

That's a big nothingburger. What's more likely? Hymas dabbed and got his foot temporarily stuck, or he said to himself, "I'm going to stick my foot in Deegan's wheel at 60MPH and hope he crashes?"

The dumbest thing about Deegan's podium tantrum is that if he and Hymas come together in the future - even if it's completely unintentional -  Deegan has the AMA crawling up his ass because he made a threat.

AMA isn’t going to slap Deegan’s hand if that happens, unless it’s egregious no matter what he says.
As someone who’s never raced, I thought that the person in front controlled the racing line. That being in general. So you guys that have raced, especially those who have competed at higher levels, would that be true? I’m not talking about blocking.

It would be stupid to think that Hymas would intentionally stick his foot out in an attempt to block Deegan. Risk injury in the first corner of a 30 minute race?

As someone said earlier, get far enough ahead of him and it won’t matter.

They show it in the broadcast replay at 3:40. The exhaust is still bent out after he kicks it. He gets on the bike then the mechanic starts fixing the exhaust. Its the little things like this and he can have his dad and mechanic at the gate 2 people when other guys and teams can't. Would he still be the points leader yes but the favoritism has shown his whole time racing.

this one is for the history books.........

a 2nd year, 18 years old kid, that whines and cries every time he gets squeezed, goes on a promotocross podium and says " i am the fricking king of getting dirty when i want to".......i cant even find the word to call it

last year hunter, was the only to take care of it, and won the titles without much fuzz, this year they are too soft, to a point of being disrespected

if i was racing him, i would poke him every time i could, just to see what kingdom he was talking about !!!!!!

call whatever you want, but i think this spoiled bratt needs a few lessons in manhood .........

I'm back at the desk now and just watched it.  Racing incident, wasn't intentional, and I don't agree with Deegan speaking out on it.  So as for my previous post this image below just solidifies it. From Deegan's perspective, Chance did ride him tight (he has every right to) and Deegan just didn't like to be challenged as he feels there was plenty of room.  The reason we are all talking about this is because while Chance was pinching him he lost the front end, which made it look intentional from Deegan's seat, and it resulted in a huge crash for Deegan.  This is where Haiden is coming from, even if we all don't agree with his comments.

Starts fixing it? did he pull out a hammer?...no he tried a couple of feeble slaps with his hand that did absolutely nothing...like I said if it were any other rider none of you would have even noticed much less say a word...

I misread it as “I can’t wait to try that stick move at my local race” as if you would bring a stick to jam in someone’s tire instead of your foot after coming off major knee surgery like Chance did.

You don’t need to emergency dab your foot unless you lose front traction.  Chance had his foot in the proper position foot extended but then when he all the sudden lost the front end he had to save it with his foot dropping as 1 leg and a kickstand like my friend “Eileen”.

Unfortunately that picture won't change many minds on here because their minds were made up prior to anything happening....

Based on physics some pro could argue that Chance cut down hard that caused him to need to foot dab so yes Chance is not 100% innocent.  The leader has the right to control the line like Deegan confessed but Chance may have been too aggressive to pinch him off.

Exactly, they couldn't even read and understand my post as they already had their minds made up.  But now that I've watched the replay it's exactly as I assumed and exactly why I asked about Chance dabbing his foot.

Plain and simple, Hymas was racing Deegan hard into the turn and pinching him off as he should have.  While doing so, Chance lost his front end and cut down on Deegan which resulted in a foot dab that caused a huge crash.  Deegan didn't like any of it and spoke out about it.  Bottom line is if there was no crash there would be no ongoing discussions about it.  But since it caused a huge scary crash that could've ended Haiden's season, he lashed out about it.

People don't like that he talked about it, including me. End of story.

Chance is not innocent because it was his choice to pinch Deegan at the start while he could have left more room.  But in doing so, Chance made a mistake which caused the crash, and ultimately he took himself out.  Looking back now Chance obviously wishes he could go back and give Deegan more room, because now he's injured.

Based on physics some pro could argue that Chance cut down hard that caused him to need to foot dab so yes Chance is not 100% innocent.  The leader has the right to control the line like Deegan confessed but Chance may have been too aggressive to pinch him off.

A foot dab usually makes people think the rider had an accidental innocent mistake but in the first turn having people come inside your middle line as a top pro with your front wheel turned and laid over could be seen as dirty.  With the rain I am not sure if that is an excuse but the latest photo shows a sharp cut before the loss of traction and dab.
