For sure…but a few things the Jett fans should at least acknowledge. Last years field was definitely thinned. Hell…my home race at Thunder Valley would have been a snoozer if it weren’t for Masterpool making it awesome. Look at the names at last years races….no Eli, Chase hurt/missed some and bike disagreements, no Kenny most of the season, Coop hated KTM, ect…Thank god Chase was at least keeping him honest at times because outside of a rare Kenny sighting he was it…..but it doesn’t matter. 22-0 and no fucking *. He kicked ass on a historic level. This year Honda realized Chase is a serious threat to Jett despite any injuries and have been in panic 2023 parts mode. Chase came in more fit and has mostly figured out the bike. If you don’t think Chase would be battling with Jett you are delusional. Then Jett injured himself. It’s fucking part of motocross. Shove the * up your ass and go watch the WNBA.

Hey guys hate to tell you this, but Jett’s out because of a thumb injury sustained in a practice crash, (obviously still his fault) not because of Hangtown. He still won after Hangtown.
Jett has won every round after Hangtown and he came back from being 24 points down after Hangtown to tie Chase in points after just three rounds. Chase is a fantastic rider and will deserve every bit of this championship, but please just look at the facts (and stats).
I can just use the same excuse Jett fanboys use and say it's because Chase crashed at Thunder Valley and High Point...see how that works?
Well, your argument was that Jett was losing the championship. Making up 24 points in just three rounds isn't really the definition of losing the championship. He lost the championship by crashing himself out in a practice crash and this one is only on Jett, nobody can blame Chase for staying in this championship. But stop saying he spanked Jett before that, that's just silly.
To end this absolutely nonsense conversation, let's hope Chase keeps this level and also stays off the ground when he has to ride behind Jett in the future. The next years might get more interesting than we first thought.

Wtf? Jett was not leading the points after Southwick and before he got injured...he was, by definition, losing the championship
And I specifically said "the last moto he (Jett) raced" when referring to him getting spanked by Sexton and that's absolutely what happened. Chase caught him from behind, passed him, and then dropped him. Chase put nearly 10 seconds on him in 2 laps...that's called getting spanked
Come on. Can you sit there with a straight face and argue that Cooper Webb is as good a SX rider as Jett Lawrence? I would say that Webb has been the fastest rider in any 450 SX race he's been in probably no more than 30 per cent of the time. This year he had the fastest lap in a race once. Tomac and Roczen (prior to his injury) are a different story. You clearly haven't seen Jett ride in comparison to Webb and are unable to spot the difference in talent.

What proof do you have that Jett was injured after Hangtown?? Has he had a surgery on his shoulder that I've yet to hear about?
If you're just talking about bumps and bruises then that's just motocross. Maybe Jett shouldn't have ridden beyond his ability and been more consistent like Chase

True and he managed to get himself, didn't he? Jett had all the cards right up until Hangtown. Now Chase is allowed the luxury of kicking ass and taking names while Jett licks his wounds and has to wonder if he will still have the advantage, or will Chase be a different guy with more inner belief in himself? The top people in the sport always talk about it being a mental game at the highest level.
The first races Jett comes back will show if Chase new found glory is because of lack of competition or if he managed to raise the bar on his own.
If Jett comes back and beat him at once, Chase will probably go back to struggle with settings and tuck his front again.
