Our own Lewis Phillips snagged him for an interview after the race. They cover his day on track, the first corner situation, the banged-up bike... They also get to the topic of Motocross of Nations, where Haiden hints at something going on with his injury which puts MXoN as a question mark in his schedule.

The rumor floating around is he might need plates removed as the injury was more than disclosed initially heading into the season.

I'll bite.

So, is he going to stay active on social media throughout his "recovery" by posting pics of his "injury," or is he going to go dark for six weeks like last year when he "sprained his wrist and was only off the bike for a week?"

Kinda looks like he just doesn't want to go. #puttheamericanupfront

So let's say he has plates that need to be removed. When do you guys think will be the best time to have the procedure done?

I mean judging by his wording it sounded more to me like he really wants to go unless he's advised not to

Clearly the best time would be immediately following the Vegas SMX round.

Exactly 14 days to get it done before the MXoNs.

Send Kitchen instead.

And you act like deegan is the only rider to do so? They all do it..no one discloses anything. It’s been like this since ummmm forever! Where you been? Where is tomac? Heeling and spending time with his family I’d assume. Let the riders do what they do. Hell james disappeared for years …

Yep, 2 weeks recovery would likely have him already back on the bike or close to it if it is hardware removal.  I am not a fan, but I am not going to question if needs a procedure and guys already saying he is faking this to get out of Des Nations is ridiculous.

Really don't understand the downvotes, put it this way, do any of you really believe that Mr Ego doesn't want to prove he's faster than the Euros? He seems to love taking digs at Vialle, pretty sure there's nothing that would satisfy his ego more than proving he's the fastest 250 rider in the world.

He'll finish outdoors like a man Instead of the usual suspects that have factory rides and search for reasons to sit out the summer series.

Because he wants two weeks off if he's not getting paid. Simple as that.

Wonder if he’ll get Star to say they aren’t supporting the MXoN this year?

If you actually believe that, you need to step back and do something that can let your mind rest.

Hopefully Vital has the same attitude they did when Kawasaki was using Eli as their scapegoat to not participate in the race.

That injury hasn't hold him back for winning 4/7 nationals this year and lead the points by a full race distance... The Schrödinger Injury, it exist and doesn't at the same time?

Yes, but it also sounds like he wants to get whatever needs to be fixed, fixed before he goes.

In my line of work, you eat what you kill.

That goes for any business owner, anyone who bids on contracts, practices law based on contingency, or earns a living through sales commissions.

Sometimes, there's no immediate financial reward, but your work speaks for itself and adds to your intrinsic value in the market.

I guess Bailey, Ward, O'Mara, Stanton, Cairoli, Herlings, Dungey and Plessinger have all been suckers for volunteering to go.

That’s a whole lot of typing to say pretty much nothing.

Maybe because he might lose and that could hurt his "American Badass" image? I'm 100% sure next year at Ironman, Indiana, USA, he would be the first one willing to go and he won't have any medical procedure to do at the offseason.

With Deegan off the table this year, his good friend Hymas would be willing to go, or maybe Levi, those two are willing to put América up front at the world stage

If he races mxdn why do I think you’ll say ‘look at his American pride’

No, I will first determine if I think Team Deegan simply decided it was better to go rather than not go, based on business reasons.

They've already lost enough credibility to get the benefit of the doubt when they make a public statement.
