But Jett will be fine and by the end of red budd i bet win or lose will be in a better mood.
I believe its just frustration of the lingering injury he has , I mean obviously if ur a real high lvl competitor no matter wht sport ur in , ur not goona be tht happy on getting beat by a rival or a main title threat but his body language & tone of his voice has me leaning towards him being frustrated on how long its taken his shoulders to get back 100% health cause it’s affecting his weekly preparation / training routine & the way he wants to ride & race these guys
I will say I think he's more hurt than he's saying, I think he's damaged his shoulder more than he's letting on and we won't really find out till end of season. He keeps talking about how his legs are roached out with compensating for injury, I think he's squeezing the bike that hard taking weight off his arms he's over working them
Riding his speed with a bum shoulder would hurt like hell.. I’d be grouchy too, pain meds can only help so much.

The amount of sand you eat racing at a place like southwick is insane sometimes. I've thrown up in my helmet a lil from the dust at the dustiest track in illinois. Sometimes it goes down but needs to come back up.
Its because they pulled him aside and set let Chase by or else.
I think we are seeing pain management, and he is trying to ride through it. Having a camera up your nose after a 30 Minute sand moto while dealing with an (undisclosed) amount of pain is reason enough to swat the media away. The camera goon was going in for a super close up, one foot from his face. I think Jett handled it appropriately. Riders arent obliged to dance like a trained monkey whenever the media shove a camera in their face.
I guess they were hooping for the shoulder to improve after a week off, looks like it could be more serious. Could there be a post op hiatus in store for JL18 mid season?
Jett is hurting and Chase is getting stronger. That is the look of frustration on Jetts face.

He said several times the last couple races , you can tell something is off with Jett, he is definitely in pain .
Southwick is brutal , and gnarly , and on top of it to be nursing a shoulder that he could be potentially making worse .
I wouldn't read to much into it .
He waved camera away and looked pissed off after the first moto though. He just won by 10 seconds.
I think every other rider would have been thrilled to win the overall with a 1-2. Including Chase.
