FMF and backorder inventory

Anyone else having issues getting exhaust from FMF? I've been waiting 3 months now for a slip on silencer for my 24 KX450. Seems like everything they make for that bike has been on back order since I bought the bike. I race off road and have races coming up that require a spark arrester, and so far the only options in stock are PC, Bill's, and DR.D. Anyone have a line on someone carrying product? Powercore 4 hex

Buy a pc. Better quality and they’re not focused on a box that comes with a shirt and some stickers instead of products people want.

FmF is not what it used to be. Went from Hop up parts to clothing.I'm still a big uncle Donnie fan, but not $40.00 t-shirts.

A damn shame there are no other options for an exhaust.

If you own a Beta 450RX it's the only option as of now, so stock it is. I'd kill for an Akropovic if they'd actually make one.

I got mine off motosport(now sold out there too) and holy cow it’s night and day better.

Stock is higher quality and probably tuned better. I would put that money towards something else.

You sir are on drugs and/or have no idea what you are talking about if you think stock Exhaust on a 24 kx are better than any of the big brand slip ons. It’s actually the most dramatic change I’ve seen for an exhaust.

Oh the stock one is pretty damn good, quiet, and sounds great, but it is a boat anchor. It would drop around 2-3lbs  with a Ti slip-on.

Didn't think about that tbh, I can see the appeal then.

You sir must really be invested in this, congrats. If it makes you happy, then fantastic. The appeal and results based on money spent are blinding sometimes, I bet a stopwatch would make you come down from the 4 stroke exhaust high. That's ok, enjoy. I would think a reflash, vortex, GET, etc would be more useful.

Sorry sir -  incorrect on all points.

Any aftermarket system is superior to the stock boat anchor, in weight, performance, and quality of construction.

Dyno shows 3 HP increase on an HGS system, and if any bike needs more horsepower, it is this bike.

Sorry Sir, I did say probably. I view a exhaust makers dyno with a grain of salt and don't just blindly dive in. HGS is top notch however...I am still a believer in electronics before bolt ons though. Its all OK, just glad people have money to spend in the industry.

The Akrapovic  is especially well built and quiet.  https://www.akrapovic.com/en/moto/product/22208?brandId=31&modelId=1160&yearId=7589

I know there are alternatives to fmf, but they also cost almost twice as much too. I’m not looking for something ti or carbon, or even a full system. Just a slip on that’s a little more free’r flowing than stock and has a removable spark arrestor in the $400 range. Fmf is the only one if found that fits the bill

FMF havent send much stuff to Europe since Covid and most shops are not listing them because least half year wait to get one ordered. They just making stuff for pro teams and order t-shirts from 3rd world countries to sell in absurd prices.

No wait for this one and a special discount. I might be running Budd HGS tho. All depends on who pays me the most.

FMF has been working on the Stark exhaust system so the 4 stroke parts are on back order

I am not a fan of vendor bashing, but even their t-shirts (wherever they get them) are always an awful cut/fit.  I am about as medium as they come at 155lbs, but I gave up after a few tries.

No. Time to get over yourself...prove the difference with timing rather than noise and someonen elses dyno then and how right you are. Wait...that's too difficult and you'd rather just peck away and stroke your micro penis

Yeah not really sure why they haven't attempted to get a larger facility/second facility to keep up with the demand that is clearly there. I heard on a podcast he was having trouble getting employees but I think that's BS.

FWIW I'm in Canada and just received my quiet core insert I ordered for the ISDE...

In 2021...
