It's truly a sad loss not just for motocross, but more importantly, for his family and friends. Godspeed, Andrew.

I really can't think of another rider as universally well-liked and respected as Andrew was. I was stunned when I heard last night. He was a great guy and we were lucky to know and watch him here in the states for a few years....

One time Wes Williams and I went to interview him for the Racer X show at his hotel here in Morgantown, right after he finished second at Hangtown,. He was out in the rig, hanging out with his wife and mechanic while he was working on the bike. When we were done, Andrew just wanted us to hang out and bench race and just talk motocross. He was such a true enthusiast for the sport, it was something I will never forget.

he was always well liked by everyone in the racing community, and the one thing that i will always remember about Andrew, he loved his little girl Tayla more than anything in the world.

As a father...I can't imagine. The affect my death would have on my son would bother me more than anything. It breaks my heart to think of anyone's kids when someone dies... especially if they are old enough to understand what happened.

Condolences.

Sad news indeed, his passing was announced over the pa system this morning at 3rd round of the British Championship at Duns in Scotland where a minutes silence was held as a mark of respect.

Condolences to his friends and family, he was liked and respected the world over.

The thought of a daughter losing her father hurts more then I can convey through text. I have four little girls and those thoughts have me typing with tears in my eyes. We are superman in their eyes and I can't imagine what Andrews wife is going through having to explain this to Andrews little girl at the same time grieving the loss of her beloved husband.

All my prayers go out to Andrews family.

I dont think there is one person in this world that could say anything bad about Andrew and that will forever be remembered. Yeah he was one hell of a racer, but an even better friend and a greater Husband and Father!! RIP Sharky!!

My dad just called me to tell me the sad news and I came right here and hoped he was wrong. Andrew is one of our families favorites. After talking with him a few times over the years we really liked him and always pull for him. Very sad and our thoughts are with he and his family.

I met Andrew the first time when I was writing press kits for Yamaha and later YOT. What a pleasant guy! Super respectful and very cool. I got to know him a little better and the last time I saw him was a couple years back when he was down at the Yamaha test track in Corona on his Suzuki. He and Chad are good pals and he had ridden down from the Suzuki track to visit and hang out. Just a hell of a guy and a tragic loss.

My condolences to his wife and family.

What a horrible thing - I'll sure keep his family and friends in my prayers. It's hard to find words to describe what a shock this must be to them.

This was a big shock.Grew up watching him rip on his Suzuki. Same age as me makes it even tougher. My thughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.Andrew played a part in peoples lifes around the globe.America will always love & remember him. He's one of the very few idols of mine that were my age where most peoples idols were the older guys.Thats saying alot.I know alot of you will remember him as the #3,but I will never forget him as the #30

The few times I had the chance to talk to him he was always a class act! Very nice, humble and a great rider. I had some footage of him from 2005 that I put on after hearing the horrible news. It was unreal! It´s hard to imagine what his wife is going through right now. I wish her all the best!
