Lets get serious here. The guy got of the couch from a acl tear and laid the smack down at GH 2years ago. Its gotten commonplace to tear James up on the boards but the only guy who can beat him outdoors is racing trucks. He is a monster outdoors, just as sick as he at SX. He's only taken one summer off in his life, you think he forgot how to ride outdoors?

I don't think he forgot how to ride, but I do think he has lost the drive. Not sure his heart is in it. Too many distractions now.

A lot of crap has been said about the guy but in the end I still believe he is the fastest rider on the planet indoors and outdoors. Might crash but I don't think anyone can run with the guy consistently! Only one guy has been to do it and he's the Goat!

Never bet against James Stewart!

If you bet against Bubba against this field, you have forgotten what's its like to watch him ride.

If JS enters he's the favorite easy. But, I think the comp is going to be stiffer. Reed is capable of keeping him honest on the track.

Probably has more to do with money, or the lack of it from missing the SX season.

Maybe Chad will have a little more to show us on the Kawi but based on last year I don't think he will be able to run with James consistently. He didn't exactly slaughter the field.Grant might have the best shot.

Said he would be up for racing the GP, all depends on injury healing. He is in FL. not riding GH today like MXA reported, looked really excited to race. Has new NIKE shoes coming out soon.
Also is not signed with L&M for next year.
I was watching it too. He skipped all of the questions about his thoughts on the 350.

I still thought it was pretty cool of him to do that ( and i'm not a fan of James). He answered a few of my questions that I had for him. Its just hard to do with you have easily 100 questions coming in every 2 minutes.

Dumb post. I think you might want to do some more research before typing that. Chad only showed everyone his potential for 6 motos. One day of testing after deciding two days before Glen Helen, along with a severe stomach illness that killed all of his energy and ability to hold food down.

I watched the whole livestream with him, and he answered every question without skirting around the answers. He seemed really hungry to race again. He paid respect to Dungey, and said until Dungey gets beat, he is the best right now. Just my take on it, but I got the feeling he is chomping at the bit.

Lots of haters were posting shit questions to him also, and he just was very cool. Didnt phase him one bit.

He said NIKE has a secret product kitchen where they cook up new stuff, and he said that he never knows when something will come out. When I asked about NIKE MX gear.

I had started to write James off, but my bet is he will be on that Hangtown line like he said.
Stewie saying Dungey is the best now reminds me of when RC said the same thing about JS7 a few years back! The very best calling another guy the very best.. don't you guys think that holds more water than any other opinion on the planet? Ricky says the same thing BTW.. That Dungey kid must be sorta good huh?

If JBS races i see him and RD5 running away just like RC and JBS used to.. If both stay healthy it will be a boring season IMO with no one else close to them. As to RV he would have been in the mix but RD5 is much hungrier and crashes a enough less to give him the edge.

JBS and RD5 for the title chase! Just my opinion of course for bench racing purposes and i do NOT put down any other riders they are all fast as hell and great riders, just to make a pro main is incredible!

Larry Brooks said in an interview that they were going to re-sign Stewart. It may have been wishful thinking but who knows.

Watch the 2007 lites season. I have never seen Dungey hang it out like RV did that year.

Dungey actually crashed alot last season; first one at freestone when he almost landed on Weimer. Second one at Red Bud where he was very lucky to not hurt his back with his frontflip attempt and the last one at Washougal where he smacked his head to the ground hard. Dungey seems to be very lucky when he crashes.

A Stewart/Canard team would be okay . . . Red Bull fits in well there.
I can see that happening the day after Vegas!!

Dungey is relatively new at this pro thing and his past only shows that he learns quickly and improves steadily. You may as well say how RV never beat MA in the am's if you are going that far back! You can look back on RD's career when he is a seasoned 450 vet and then draw conclusions but i think JBS is on target with his praise and its well deserved. Check back in 4-5 years before any of you claim RD is a crasher or a head case or just plain lucky! The kid is at the start not the end of his career and getting better all the timeSmile

I'm going with stewie and the goat on this one..

Didn't Dungey start riding the season after RV? So he isn't that new to the game as you make it seem. What I know is that RV has won every outdoor championship he entered except last year when he hurt his knee. I watched Glen Helen 2009 again a couple of weeks ago and Bailey said something like "the only one that might be able to hang with RV is Stewart", this wasn't the exact words but you get the drill. And didn't RV win more sx races then Dungey this year?

My opinion is biased though, I like RV and his riding style more! And way off topic we go, this thread is about Stewart Smile

that's cool, if you could look back and find my old posts you would see me saying i thought that RV was the new king 3-4 years ago. Both Ryans are great kids and riders. I love their normal everyday attitudes and demeanor. They each have their own personalities and they are who they are which is a good thingSmile

He did answer the 350 question. He said he thought is was not a bad idea and commented that at some supercross's and nationals the 250's turn as fast of faster lap times than 450's so maybe the 350 could be good. He also said he never has rode one so it was just his thoughts.

I think he was avoiding the question for a while because he will be riding one next year.

I jumped on this thread to see if there might be a credible source of James confirming that he will race Hangtown. Instead I find speculation and idiots arguing if he is going to go 24-0 this year (keep in mind he hasn't confirmed anything yet).
