Dirt Bike Magazine just weighed the Kove 250 and it’s 237lbs without fuel. But the 450 is somehow 16 pounds lighter? What’s the difference?
Just a bold faced lie.. they tried claiming the 250 was 232 with 1.5 gallons of fuel.

I was watching World Superbike this past weekend and they had a 300cc race and a Kove was doing quite well. Hadn't heard that name on here in a while, just thought I'd throw it back in this old thread.

Taken that absolutely absurd claims of weight and HP have been made about this bike…. You’re not the sharpest knife in the drawer, that’s for sure.
And yes, preproduction (unreleased) bikes get ridden by the media all the time. You should quit before you make an even bigger fool of yourself.
Your ass is flapping again...if the bikes were available for media to test, they'd be tested. I would type slower if I could for you, maybe you'd get it, but probably not. Next time I can use caps. The claims may be big, but we don't know that since nobody knows since nobody independently has ridden or seen these yet. You keep on keeping on though, I am cheering for you.

I haven’t seen any claims from Kove about 75hp. I did see someone claim 65hp in a YT video. Where did Kove give HP figures?

The video that is now "unavailable" had some absurd claims in it. All they had to do was back it up with evidence. They didn't.
I think the video you were talking about came from the US distributor, not Kove directly. Which is unfortunate for Kove because most will not be able to discern the difference.

While I do not buy Chinese products, I am beginning to question this policy. With the "normalization" of relations with communist China that began as far back as Nixon, it was the free world's agenda to encourage the communist nation into democracy or at least more of a free market. To compete economically China would need to. This would make a safer world, as far back as Napolean's wars people have argued we have to make war financially unsound, because humane concerns would never stop it. China's private sector has grown exponentially since (70% of GDP?). By buying a product like Kove, or other big ticket Chinese item, you may very well be supporting Chinese business that flies in the face of communism, and it is a very small burgeoning step towards a free China. These businesses may not appreciate communism any more than we do. I suggest it be looked into.

Without going into the geopolitical portion of this…….
I think that if I were trying to introduce a new MX line from the ground up, I’d copy the KTM agenda but speed it up a little bit. KTMs were ‘good’ bikes for most riders for a long time, but different enough that they were more niche than mainstream. MXA would treat them differently from the Big 4 and not really be considered the same way as those brands. But then, they started actually making some of the changes that MXA suggested/asked for and year by year they were taken more seriously and evaluated as a real option for the average buyer. I think that the hiring of DeCoster had a lot to do with it, but it seems like he was also pretty damned smart to have MXA riding the bikes so much and basically having another, outside voice to gather opinions for development purposes. If Kove wanted to make a splash, and faster, they’d get a decent bike into the hands of MXA and make changes to it nearly verbatim to what they wanted. If they did that, the praise for the bike would come pretty quickly.
So when is the 450 out?
What about the electric bike that they had at EICMA last year?
He is still talking about prototype bike on youtube test video so I would guess 450 wont be out before next year. No word about E-bike but their empty promises (about solid state batteries and other specs) Anyway Kove could do good for dirt bike prices hitting lower with solid bike and speed up E-bikes from other companies.
Looks like Kove has released the 450. Or it will be available very soon. US gets the ‘factory edition’ which has KYB fork (43mm though) and titanium exhaust. 54 hp. $7699
