GDR's Dylan Wright 2024 Honda CRF450R

We need Koster and Travers back. Ping and Emig really need to step it up, that last race was pitiful.
Any updates on Dylan's condition?

Krystian Janik will be coming to Canada to race a few rounds of the Triple Crown Series.
Luke Fauser is supposed to come up as well. He rides for the Orange Brigade KTM Team.
Who we got for the 450 title? Natzke looked unbeatable this last round. Was pettis having an off day?
He had really bad start
Petitis is my guy. Natzke rode lights out in Manitoba though . He rides really well at Gopher Dunes. It'll be interesting to see how Dylan Wright comes out.
Bad news.
That stinks. I was enjoying following along as he gave the US Nationals a go.
"Health issues" is a bit vague. Anybody have a guess what those are?
God damn it, was really rooting for him, heal up quick ryder
He's got something called pericarditis.
https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/pericarditis/symptoms-ca…
From Direct Motocross:
I just got off the phone with him and he is back at home in Manitoba where he’ll recover from this condition. The viral infection can be a pretty minor setback and treated easily with antibiotics or it can linger. In fact, Ryder was told that if he doesn’t take the time to let it heal completely that it would likely come back and that there are cases where it can become a permanent problem, so they are going to take the necessary time to let it get 100% better.
He was sick before the season began and they figure it was then that it started, so it was simply a matter of time before it got serious enough to send him to emergency, which it finally did in Massachusetts.
He is on medication and they will continue to monitor the enzyme levels in his blood to make sure everything is back to normal before he can get back to his regular level of activity, meaning his racing season is over at this point.
Ryder is under contract for another year so he’s looking forward to coming back at full strength to be ready for 2025 AMA Supercross, AMA Pro Motocross, and SMX.
Take care, Ryder, and we’ll see you back on the gate soon.
Since we're in the Canadian mx thread, shout Drew Adams going 1-1 at the last race.
Pit Row
Yeah it can be serious. My father’s girlfriend had it not too long after receiving the covid vax and she wasn’t very carefull about resting and taking it easy. 2 years later and she’s had it two more times and now she can’t push her body at all or it just comes right back.
I wonder how much his results were suffering because of it and where may he have finished if he had been 100%. I was thinking about it today actually before even reading this and I was like « damn I really thought our 2x 250 champ would be able to get closer to the top 10 ». Good thing he has another year. Hope he comes back strong!
I didn't want to bring it up but i had never heard of Pericarditis till the time period we are not allowed to talk about.
Best wishes to Ryder and i hope he comes back healthy.
Honestly it makes sense why he has been struggling too. Because we all know how fast he is and if your feeling slightly off that can lead to worse results as the fields pretty close in that middle area
I’ve known a few people with pericarditis, including a good mate I used to ride with, well before the “time period we are not allowed to talk about”, so I think it has little to do with that. Surprisingly it occurs most commonly in younger males and is usually caused by an infection, and it’s not to be taken lightly because the effects can be long lasting.
There’s no doubt McNabb’s recent results would have suffered. Hopefully he heals up 100%.
Bummer deal, hope he heals up with some time to rest. This is a great spot for him with a ride racing in the US.
Ugh scaphoids are brutal. Took me over a year to heal from mine.
