MC came back to race after a dislocated hip... 

any update/news on how hes doing? 

He had Lasix back in April I thought he was getting back on the bike after that 🤷‍♂️ I think Mitch said he was going to miss outdoors but didn't say why!

It's more than having Lasik eye scrape for sure. That heals and you're good to go in a week. He suffered some small fractures in his lower vertebrae if I'm not mistaken?

Not sure if there were other issues not known. I'm sure people in his camp know whats up. I wish we knew, but for reasons unbeknownst to us, its been kept hush hush. Don't know why either. The rumor got started he could be back by Nashville SX which most knew was ridiculous, but to then not hear shit for this long sucks.

Was hoping he'd be back for some of the Nationals to score points for SMX? Like he did last season

Sounds like he might be out at PC as well.  Doesn’t sound like any of the injured kawi guys will make it back during MX.

He had to have brain surgery a few weeks ago to correct an issue that could lead to a stroke or aneurysm.

Wow. Had no idea. Hope he heals and is healthy. Racing comes 2nd over that. I do hope he still has a great career racing in his future though

This kid is an animal.  After all he's been through, the fact that he’s even still in the conversation….any conversation, is a testament to how badass he is.  

Nice that everything went well! Taking the rest of the year off is definitely is a good decision. Hope that fixes all of his problems, he's a tough mf. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if we see him back to winning speed immediately next year.

Yes, when I read thru the Dissecting Pro Circuit's 300 Wins article I saw he already has a pretty cool stat:

"Austin Forkner has won for Pro Circuit in 6 different seasons, the most of any rider: 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2024"

Sure he had a lot of injuries, but dude knows how to overcome those and come just as fast, if not even faster, back.

 

Random thought, what ever happened to Chris Aldridge(?). He was on PC around 2014ish

His last name is spelled Alldredge. From Oregon somewhere. Raced for PC in 2014 /2015 I believe. He had good speed too.

I know a few years back around 2021  he was racing up in Oregon or Washington and suffered two broken legs in a horrific crash. I've never heard more info on him since. I don't think he's on socials either. At least I looked on Insta and didn't find him.
