Here's JW22 hauling at this morning's prologue - insane speed.

There has been a pretty ugly crash yesterday with 5 time enduro world champ Antoine Meo. Hope his arm isnt broken but would be surprised if not. (Near the 6.30 min mark)

Excited to see Carson Brown racing. Smart cross-promotion move by Redbull.

Crazy thing is the prologue isn’t even technical. Just shows how fast the top hard enduro guys really are.

So cool that Carson is riding it! That dude rules.  Unfortunately speed won’t help much in the main race… just ask Pastrana back in the day.  Gnarly is such an understatement for this event. Props to anyone that even attempts it.

To be fair Josep Garcia (the EnduroGP champ) won by 30 seconds. He clocked a top speed of 155kph but he was on a big 4 stroke.

He is insanely fast on that type of course. Love watching Josep ride!

Love me some Erzberg.

I wish Carson was riding a modern 300 instead of an '08, the newer bikes I just so much better for Hard Enduro.

Not shocked in the least bit that Josep handily won, I was kinda surprised they didn't throw him on a 450 though as I read somewhere he was on a 350.

I really like Manni but it'd be super cool to see Trystan get the win.

Would feel more like Carson if he had something from the 80s. Best of luck to him, hope he finishes.

Carson Brown is such a bad mofo, funny how his SX/MX results don’t speak much but the guy has more motorcycle talent than the majority of guys that were beating him. Great to see him make a living without chasing the pro racing grind.

CB contacted my son (Radius Offroad) a week or so ago and asked Rory to give him some Extreme Enduro tips. CB said he was a go fast guy, but this extreme sheet was going to be a new experience!!  They met up at a location that was challenging and spent some time working drills. CB is out of his element but right in his element! The biggest challenge (IMO) is mental combined with the relentless obstacles and the never ending energy output that is required!!

Do they get to pre-run that or is it just twist it and rip it from the get go?

No pre runs for the prologue but they're allowed to walk/cycle it.

Go back on YouTube, if you can, to the years they could use a different (types of) bike for the Prologue, and the main race.

Top level riders going ballistic on Factory KTM950s and BMW HP2s, and others.

You still have people  like Pol Tarres having a go at the entirety of the event on Big Bikes, but for a while there it was getting in escalation with riders being able to use different types of bikes during the same event.

Carson on an old KTM?

I can't imagine, as a Red Bull athlete,  he couldn't get a current model bike to use, so I guess it's part of his 'Old Bike' theme that he does so much of.

Too much to watch this weekend, what with MXGP, US Nationals, and the very  best - The Isle Of Man TT. I'll probably catch up on Erzberg  on Monday.

When Pastrana and McGrath raced it, the course was half the difficulty of today's . I was impressed that 2 moto guys could finish the course.

Was that also on the 2008 KTM that he rode in the first one? Unbelievable result, if so.

And once again it seems the rules have changed. No Starks allowed in prolog or main race.

So you can ride a fucking Goldwing up the prolog but not a modern e-mx. Ktm group lobbying hard I guess...

For sure, those guys shred. The main race will tell a different story with Carson but I still think it’s cool that he is out there doing it. All the off-road instagram clips on my feed are always Josep just wide open, in control of being out of control. Dude is wild. But it’s cool to see Carson running with them on an older bike, he is surrounded by factory supported riders in the prologue results.

Great to see Billy and Paul Bolton giving Carson Brown some tips on how to ride Carl's Dinner.
