About 3 months ago, I decided I didn't want anything new or even new to me. After seeing all of these rebates on new bikes, watching some shootouts, and foolishly checking marketplace, I'm burning up. Used bike prices are back down to reality. New bike deals are back to pre-Rona levels. DAMN!
Some examples:
Brand new Husky 450 for $7200. Such a deal.
Used 2019.5 RE Husky 450 for $4500. Have lots of parts and knowledge on this gen bike.
New anniversary edition YZ450F looks so badass.
UPDATE ON LAST POST.
I picked up a 24 Beta 300 RX back in the fall. Driving back from picking it up I had got new bike fever for 450 RX so bad I had to go to the doctor!!!
Recently picked up a 24' 300 SX with 8 hrs for $6900. Good to see the market normalizing again
Don't fight it man, it only makes it worse. Just give in to the new bike goodness.
I want a 2023 yz 250f so bad. I like the way they look better than the 2024s and theres not a ton of 2023s left from what Im seeing.
My wife wasn't overly happy when I bought a lightly used rmz 250 2 years ago, so I'm thinking a brand new yz 250f is probably a no. Lol

I really need to grab a 24 KX450X before things go back to normal, as I am sure they will. I already have two older models (21 models) which I will have to give away, but oh well
Dealer junk fee games and tax have thus far shut me down. If I stumble upon a dealer who just wants them gone with no games, i will buy one
I was seriously considering a new KTM or YZ 125. Looking at selling my old RM, even considered a KX250F because of the rebates. I got too much money tied up in my current bikes (96 YZ and 04 RM); after much reflection I'm just going to continue to ride them for the time being.
There's alot of dealers that are selling bikes without the BS fees right now. Just gotta look around and make some calls.
waiting on the new Honda
WE? I see your name, but still have to ask...250 or 450?
450. I think the shrouds are ugly, but mechanically I like Honda
Definitely a shortlist bike for me.
I'm going nuts. Just got a 16 honda and those 25 250's are looking pretty sharp.
I wasn't having new bike fever until Kawi was blowing out their '23 leftovers for $5999 and I'd been getting a little antsy since then...
Try Contra Costa powersports in Cali. There advertising the 24 Kawi 450x at 6,399.00. The moto version same price.
I'd be curious if they hit you up with the same junk fees, the others have quoted you?
Every day I fight the urge to buy a new bike…every fricken day. It’s more a want than a need for sure. I have a low hour ‘16 350. Nice light bike.
I fight the urge this time every year when the rebates and markdowns hit. Then I tell myself "you only live once". I usually buy after that.😆
Give Ridersville in WV a call. No BS fees and I bet you’ll be shocked at the OTD prices they give you.
Yes. Every year....
Pit Row
Yeah I wanna get a 50th yz250 sooooo bad. But I know if i buy it it'll take another year to finish my project lol.
Bought a new KTM 85 for my son today, couldn't say no to the rebates they have right now.
I'm fighting the urge. I want the new KX450, and seeing the current rebates make it even worse. But the price I'd still pay here in Alaska isn't so nice as in the lower 48. So I just dumped a bunch of money into my 2021 KX450 instead.
I just wish they sold Yamaha's. But yes, for a KTM, Kawi, or Honda they are one of the best dealers in the Country.
I called another dealer in PA that has a 2023 YZ 250f in stock, it was "marked down" to $7999, I was told out the door the price would be $10,125. That is insane, I get the $5xx for taxes and even if they want to charge me the freight on the bike, but the rest is insane. I was told freight and setup was $999.
I wish they did as well. Unlimited Cycle in Tyrone, PA has connections to Track N Trail near State College. Track N Trail has always been an amazing dealership with excellent prices. They’d be worth checking out for a Yamaha.
2024 yz450f here....its awesome...do it
My wife and I are both really mad at each other. So I thought about buying a new Beta 450 RX, she is already mad. But the dilemma is by the time I paid all the fees for an RX. I could almost buy two KX450's!!! These are truly hard decisions to make..........cause I don't have much room left in my garage as it is.
This is an every week battle for me. If only I had unlimited money and space. I already have 4 motorcycles and 10 bicycles but I feel like I have bike ADHD.
Same! I have zero need for it, but all the want!
Rule number 1 if she isn’t on board keep buying the same brand of motorcycle
Or go with "I bought new plastic and graphics" "They had a special, want to go dinner" ?
