i have to give credit to them for supporting and protecting deegan
we all have seen deegans usual runs off track, only in this last race it happened 3 times, in sx we even saw him jump the track backwards so he wouldnt loose any time from his mistake....
but the good old american organizers are always there to help and support him, and dispite all his full gaz excurtions off track and specially his backwards jumpping did not made loose to much time, the organizer made sure of that, and docked tom vialle for his reckless riding, going full gaz off the track once !!!!!
i understand the need of the organizers and i think it was vrry well done by them to make sure "captain america" does not loose again to the "foreigner enemy", i even think that they should get part of the championship bonus if he wins, they are going through a lot to make that happen.....

I think that they got it wrong with giving Vialle the penalty. I think that the neither rider gained an advantage worth a penalty. I remember reading that they did not want to take wins away with penalty's for certain infractions but not 100% sure it was for this type of thing. It looks like Vialle's overall was not impacted by the penalty. But giving Deegan the same penalty would have taken his win away. He lost some points but his overall was not changed.
Can’t stand Deegan and believe that if Tom got penalized, so should he, but even I can’t get my head far enough up my ass to see the OP’s point of view…

I’m happy with Deegan not getting a penalty, but only if Toms also wasn’t given. You can’t police one and not the other. Also I’m pretty sure I saw Deegan do it a couple times if my memory serves me correctly.
