New interview said he inherited some parts from Chase, "forks, shock, swingarm..."
Does that mean he's on KYBs now also?

KYB insert fork, yes. It was in Pit Bits last week.
If he keeps that setup for outdoors, interesting to see what he can do! Consistent top 5 would be great for him at this stage of his career
I find it interesting that they didn't want to give him the 52mm forks based on what I read in this forum, and now they're willing to eat shit and give him KYBs. Not a good look for WP at all.
Nobody should be surprised honestly

What shock was he running…?
Same shit is happening in the off-road side.
I wonder what the procurement process is like for that. Do they have a nobody go out and purchase all the kyb parts for them so as to not raise any suspicions?
KYB lugs still also? I noticed they designed the signature red WP band on the bottom of the outer fork tube to make it look like a WP product/finished part instead of a prototype. Are the outer tubes prototype?
Top 5? Who is going to beat him besides Jett or Tomac? The rest of the field were 40 seconds back lol.
Whats different in Swingarm? They had softer ones on Husky but is that anymore thing.
How about Stewart does he still run WP as he finally was speed of front runners?
Hunter, Justin Cooper?..
No and No. Like we saw last year Jett and Chase were putting down sprint laps for 35 mins. Hunter doesn't have the pace and JCoop definitely doesn't. That's not to say Hunter couldn't get a moto podium, but it'll be because he starts up front and one of the other three crash. Don't expect him to come through the pack and pass Sexton or Tomac if they comfortable.
What does Jett, Tomac, and Chase have to do with Hunter and Cooper beating Barcia?
Never mind for some reason I was thinking the original comment was saying it'd be a good result for Chase to be top 5. My mistake
Given that some riders have been using stock AER forks since two years ago the bike doesn't seem to like stiffer forks like 52mm or even cone valves which have slightly thicker tube walls than stock. The fact they don't need special 52mm forks is actually good for the average consumer I think. None of the Japanese manufacturers use completely different diameter fork tubes between production and their race bikes do they?
Stock with kyb internals.
I have been wondering if that is the last thing that Chase changed.
Pretty sure it is. Was told it’s all the same as Chase at Denver.
Pit Row
It also allows them to not need 52mm specific Clamps, Axles, and Front Wheels, which I believe was more of the reason they were pushing Barcia away from the 52s. Everybody being on 52mm, or everybody on 48mm saves them from having to buy/store unique parts.
Rumor is ktm group wants the riders on components that come on the bike, barcia asked for the 52’s and was told no.
That’s no rumor.
I might be going blind... I don't see it in Philly Pit Bits?
It was the week before, Nashville...

Chase was back on the works WP shock in Denver, it’ll be in Pit Bits this week.
Malcom is still on works WP forks and shock.
God it had already been two weeks, whoops.
After all these years of enjoying dirtbike racing I still cannot believe/understand how factory’s won’t support their riders anyway possible to win races. From JB51 not getting 52mm forks, ET3 not getting a cable clutch, and on and on and on!
If factory marketing teams cannot figure out a way to sell bikes without their top riders being on “stock like” parts they’ve got bigger problems.
His results got a lot better suddenly. And chase seemed to go a lot faster after the change.
The Man knows best....
Wp does have the cc fork technology. I'm surprised they're not even offering it on the fe edition bikes. Wp sure has made aftermarket suspension companies some money. It reminds me of Harley Davidson; they bring it out, and the aftermarket fixes it.
