Let me start by saying he was ripping through the field after that first turn crash. But is it coincidence that as soon as he starts looking like he’s back to his Honda speed he starts tucking the front again?
I hope it’s just a coincidence and he can battle the Lawrence brothers the next few years but seems weird he either has the speed and tucks the front or has to back it down a peg and can’t keep with jett.
Not a coincidence, it was never the Honda. Its just the fact that with his riding style when he's pushing and feeling good he relies on the front end a lot. When its tracking its great and he's hauling, but it can give away in a split second and he's on the ground. So glad the bike is coming together as I've been a fan since 85s and I bleed orange, but ultimately he'll need to change his riding style for a more permanent fix. He shouldn't have much of an issue beating Hunter it's Jett thats the issue, we'll see how the KTM is outdoors. I have a feeling they'll get off to a slow start.
Maybe the changes they made to the bike make it more likely for the front end to give away. He's been fine with that pretty much all season
Couldn’t have anything to do with the track conditions where many people “lost the front” could it?
Just a shit corner on a shit track. He good.

Chase - “ my bike ain’t right “ Sexton
It’s rarely ever the bike when it comes to these guys. Just an excuse fans make for them. And even if it is … he chose to go there and part of being a great professional rider is finding the right setup for yourself with limited track time.
You don’t see the pattern?
You're right. Chase lost the front over a dozen times last year. But this year has only happened 2 times, less than Jett. Pretty clear pattern that something is working better for Sexton now.
Yep Chase had a tough one last night. I’ve said it before, but he’ll smooth out.
Needs a race-spec Bridgestone 403
Chase looked good, his bike still does not. When he gets over that front end he has more rebound in his forks and they move a lot more than say Jetts setup. Look at almost every front end wreck he is in front of the bars with his weight, his forks dive into the stroke and the bars are turned as he leans and then they unload rebounding and washout front end.
Vialles Ktm on the other hand looks much more settled and planted
The thing that worked better was that he rolled around at 85% of his top speed the whole season and now when we finally saw him at his full potential again his ”Honda problem” came back.
He would benefit of trying to be easier on the front tyre instead of demanding the impossible of his bikes.
He has a damn near perfect riding style part from pushing his front end to much. Seems like a small adjustment for a large gain.
I thought his KYB fork was gonna fix all the problems?
Vialle is going slower on a less powerful scooter.
Yes he is, obviously 450’s are harder to setup due to the extra inertia and torque putting more strain on the bike. Doesn’t change the point though, look back at Chase on the 250 and his setup was similar with a front end that has a lot of movement. It just isn’t there yet, they are in the right direction now clearly.
Desire to catch up exceeded pushing the edge of the envelope
When??
Pit Row
How many times has he tucked the front in the first corner vs tucking the front mid race? Last night was a simple error and not a “Honda chase” episode.
The rider is 90%. The KTM is fine. It is not the bike.
When a rider messes up or gets beat these days they always say it is the bike...because surely they would win every time except for the bike...right? They all say this...even the guys in 10th place.
Something was clearly not jiving with him and the Honda! It’s working for Jett won’t argue that but Jett has had a lot of close calls too. Sexton is starting to show his speed he had on the Honda on the KTM now. I think he’s fine and it was just a simple mistake. He was pushing very hard to get to the front, and lost the front.
He won a very strange championship and has showed good speed as Eli slows down but sexton was never going to be the next big thing and he’ll never beat Jett. He’ll either ride over his head and tuck the front every race or not be fast enough to bother Jett.
Gee, there's been a lot of shit corners on shit tracks lately, seems to have started since Chase graduated to 450,s.
That was as much daylight as chase has seen on a start in a while and he sent it in too hard.... that first turn got several people last night... oh well.
Riddle me this. If it really is true that chase can either ride at 85% and stay up for a 4th, or he can push and win some races but also crash out of some, and then ride back up to 4th, who are you weirdos arguing that he should just lay up and take the 4th after he just won a championship while doing it the other way and crashing constantly?
I don't buy the premise to begin with, but if you do, of course you want him picking the win or crash option.
Is it possible for you guys to say something positive about a rider without the last name Lawrence?
I wish you guys would show maybe Ferris or Metcalfe some love.
Half probably don’t even know who Metcalfe is
Metcalfe is the fuckin man, and the Aussie's need to respect it.
Right, clearly the second fastest rider and the only one with a chance to challenge Jett (except maybe Kenny) but let’s have a weekly thread about the guy…where’s the criticism for the other 20 guys in the main? Malcolm went down around a corner, did he tuck the front? Did Eli tuck his front? What’s wrong with Hunter that he couldn’t beat Jett?
No, can't be that. ET3 saw how fast Chase was going and said to himself "I have to ride like Chase", oh wait, now I know why I don't do that.
There’s a handful of them that simply can’t…
