I know we all like to complain about the broadcast every week, but the three man booth is great. Not so much filler discussion going on, everybody’s got something meaningful to say.

If they stick with what’s on the screen it’s ok. Stop telling stories and going to will on last weeks meaningless interview .

It seemed as if James was in the background most of the time and not really engaged as he has in the past.

I have to apologize to Jason and James. I watched it muted because the third guy can't shut up or call the race.

yep cause he thinks faster and communicates his insights better than RC............obviously some politics in the color commentating role.

They should get DB back in there with JS alternating............

I like the three man booth. RC and James work well together, but what I can’t figure out is why no one will interrupt Will when she’s yammering on and some action happens on the track. Weege almost did in the 250 main, but stopped himself.

Weege did attempt to do it in the 450 main during an important pass - but she just kept blathering on.

Is that when it was? I thought it was the 250 main, but either way, it’s odd that Weege, RC, James and JT will interrupt each other, but it’s kid gloves when she’s talking.

As much as many of us dislike the current format, nothing is going to change because NBC wants it this way.  Between the oh’s and ah’s, throwing it to Will while a pass is being made, interviews during the racing…. all of it is scripted by NBC.  As maddening as it is, it ain’t changing. If there was hope it would change, it would have happened by now.

James carried Ricky all day. James was ahead of the action and funny as he'll. RC was fumbling. James, Blair, and Weege would be a smart, interesting booth team.

NBC.... Peacock.... all one in the same.   Weege, et al, have referenced many times about spending lots of hours in production meetings the week prior to each broadcast.  IMO it is then that they are told how the broadcast will go, etc.  Is every word scripted, no it is not, however the way things are to be said, how to emphasize things to get the audience engaged/excited about the race, when they throw it to Will or JT, when to do the split screen, who gets more air time (Jett) are indeed covered.  Remember, this is TV, everything that goes on the air is scripted.  Call me crazy but I am under no delusion that those folks are just freewheeling it and saying whatever they want.  NBC gives them the boundaries to stay within.  Could I be wrong, sure, but I seriously doubt it.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to sound like I was disagreeing with you. That was a legit question. I just didn’t know if the direction came from NBC, FELD, or who.

A lot of people complain about the broadcast, myself included. I would just like to know who to complain to.  I know if a super fan as myself is tuning out other people are too.

No worries. I didn't take it that way.  Feel free to email Peacock or NBC but I don't think it will do much good.  I'm sure they know our thoughts via this board.  I'm a bit of a cynic about a lot of things so that is my bias.  I'd love for things to be different and maybe someday they will be.

Oh man I was sure hoping that he would just cut her blabbering off right then. Like mentioned, seemed like Weege started to, but then the chonies shrunk.
