If you still have the pail and it is a bad batch # they will replace it! Unfortunately they don't have fuel in-stock at downs where I get mine ! At least VP is standing behind there products!

I saw a post on Instagram about this awhile back.

Some dude who was doing Cobra support at one of the big amateur races was talking about how he had to rebuild 35 bikes because of the bad fuel.

Thank you for the info - that can long gone, I was so frustrated I even considered getting the ECU flashed really was a pain in the ass.

It seems like it isn’t blowing up 4 strokes like it is 2 strokes.

With all those blends and all those batch numbers it seems this may have went on for awhile without getting caught by quality test. Kinda makes me wonder. That issue affected a shit ton of their fuels going out and for longer than it should have

I went through about a half a pale of the VPR at the world 2 stroke championship didn't read about the bad batch numbers until yesterday got me a little worried now! But the bike ran fine though still returning what I got left and my U 4.4!

I heard Matt Burkeen has two of those cans, or something like that, it effected his bikes.

Whatever goes wrong with the fuel it seems to clog injectors. I assume it can clog carb jets too? It also doesn’t seem to affect all of the bad batches. Maybe you have to run more than half a pail and/or in certain conditions?

Hopefully I got lucky maybe it was one of the good bad batches LOL or maybe the fact that he was wide open going up the hills at Glen Helen not allowing anything to clog LOL it would have been nice to have been notified when they found out by either distributor or VP

Probably causing them to go lean and detonate would be my guess but that’s just an assumption.

The bad batches of fuel is confusing because I have a can of T4 that has the number which is under the T2 fuels.   Heck this out. I will take another photo later that does not have my battery charger cables on top of it 😂

I’ve run about 8-9 gallons of “bad” t2 through my kids tc85. Haven’t noticed anything yet, maybe got lucky? Or maybe the bikes about to blow. I just cleaned everything out to use another brand, and did notice the spark plug had a bit more carbon deposits than I have seen in the past.

I have a batch number X23H31 of T4 that’s listed in U4.4 Reg

This is a good opportunity for everyone to explore other avenues of race fuel too, Renegade will ship to your door and there’s a pulpmx discount. Lots of Cam2/Sunoco race fuel pumps scattered across the country as well.

Wish I could afford to try Renegade - their "budget" fuels are $173/5 gal compared to $109 for VPR.

Does anybody know the equivalent of U 4.4 in the Renegade fuel?

I just got back from the shop and my U4.4 has the -x.  They said it was good and would not return it.  I voiced my concern about it being the same batch number but with the -X.  He was cool and said "Look dude, I have zero problems swapping out the fuel as VP is making it right to us, the dealers, So if it was bad, I would swap it out.  Yours is good!"

Given they seem to keep adding bad lots to the list, I might sit on that can for a few weeks just in case.

Did some snooping and looks like Sunoco 260 GT Plus is the closest thing they offer to T4?

Anyone have any experience or other suggestions?
