off topic but related to the above conversations about frames breaking. New Honda 😳😳
That's a convenience feature to encourage owners to grease their bottom stem bearings.
Our frames were steel back then. If they cracked, you just welded it up and repainted it, kickstarted your bike like a man, and kept riding.
Tapered bearings that are overtightened and cracked the race could possibly do that?

We have wash covers for the stock style airbox in stock. We are working on a cover for the Twin Air style right now as well.
dcmxtools.com
Keep us posted on when you do have one for the twin air style set up!
Do you guys know if the outer clutch covers are the same for '23 and '24?
Yes. I put the SR one on my ‘24.
Anyone tried the Moto Hose Y Kit yet? If so, can you show pics please.
We are Expecting guests pictures to start pop up any day and I am plan on traveling to install some KX450 and YZ250F kits and take pictures next week.
Does the kit eliminate this mess?
Currently the Y kit keeps the temperature sensor in the stock location but The Works kit can move it like what the factory is running to the cylinder but it is still a couple months away.
Thank you for responding. Ill keep an eye out for the Works Kit for sure.
Just got word they upped the rebate again on these bad boys. I had myself completely talked out of another 450 but...
Yup. My dealer just posted that they have a $2000 rebate now. Just pull the trigger. You won’t be disappointed. I sure love mine. Use the money you saved to buy a slip on muffler.
Yes, with the 2K discount you can't go wrong. Spent the other night at the track with mine (been on snowbike al winter) and this chassis is sooooo good. Get a slip on and a Twin Air Powerflow kit and rip it!
Better late than never to join the club. Haven’t ridden in 20 months due to complications healing from surgery after getting my fib repaired followed by multiple other surgeries. Twisted my ankle in a corner on my 110. 🙄 Looking forward to seeing how it compares to my ‘21. Already cut the airbox. Will be hacking up the exhaust soon and ordering some goodies How does the stock exhaust with baffles and screens removed compare to the T-6 slip on? Still a significant improvement with the PC?
Pit Row
I wish I had checked beforehand, but I just put the T-6 on, and I couldn’t be happier. I pulled the plug out of the top of the airbox and ripped the foam off the back side of the number plate, but I didn’t actually cut the airbox. My bike ran good enough to collect $250 in contingency in my first race on it! Kaw is paying great this year! Get the right spring rates in it, add more fork oil, and I bet you won’t even need a revalve. I’m not planning to revalve mine now.
I also already removed the foam and grommet. Hoping someone can chime in on if the stock exhaust is close to the PC after modifying. That will determine how long I hold off on getting the PC. I’ll be getting back into the swing of things over the next few months so it’s not a necessity at this moment. Going to do a 3D cage and twin air filters. I don’t feel the Powerflow is worth it at the price. Will see after I live with this setup for a while. Will probably just do springs like I did on my ‘21 as well.
The stock valving in the forks on the '24 is way better than the previous generation. My '19 front end was real divey (no idea if I spelled that right) until I revalved it. The '24 is way more balanced. As for the exhaust, I would try modifying it first if I were you and if you aren't happy with the results, buy a T-6 slip on. My bike absolutely rips now. I need no more power than I have now, and I'm a big boy at 6'3" 215lbs.
I have the fmf slip on, But I did pull out the screens and baffles out of the stock muffler and tried them back to back. Honestly had I did that first I probably wouldn’t have got a muffler. It’s good opened up, I do also have the twin air power flow kit on and I actually trimmed up the air box for more air. But I didn’t cut holes in the side panel/cover. I’d say give it a try before you buy. It makes a big difference even with the stock muffler.
I’ve installed full PC T6.. pulled air box grommet and remapped the efi using the Chaz map, this really uncorks the bike. It rips now! Rode em back to back, it’s a whole different animal now
The stock muffler is super restrictive to meet the upcoming 2025 European noise standards
Can you post a shot of that map you’re using? Is it the “Chaz” map, or the “Chavez” map?
My dealership has them $500 less then I paid a month ago at $7398 right now..
wonder if they would price match at this point?? 🤔
I wish somehow they could do like a post purchase rebate. I paid $10K even, out the door back in early February and sadly haven't even been able to throw a leg over it yet. Funny part about it is, my dealer even told me "if you could hold off for a little bit longer, Kawasaki will have more rebates further into the spring". But, I was just too impatient lol.
I mean they could but why the hell would they. People being impatient and wanting it right away is why you pay a premium. The rebates come at the same time every year it’s not like they are a surprise.
Despite assumption.. Pretty familiar how Kawis rebates work and when they drop, bought numerous new bikes under rebates
Never paid a premium, was happy paying $7998 plus tax and $99 doc fee with $2400 rebate from dealership when everybody else paid a premium, then members here tried to dispute my purchase after showing the bill of sale it instantly silenced them
My post was about the same dealership who has them for $7398 right now.. whatever reason they throw another $1000 rebate on top of any Kawasaki rebates, hence my satire price match post..😁
Frankly thats what I paid for my 2020 KX 450 from same dealership back in April 2020, till buying a 2024 on 3/23/24
spent some of the $2400 I saved over full MSRP on PC T-6 exhaust and some killer graphics from Decal works, skid plate, rear disc brake cover, then bought 3 pre oiled air filters from DT-1 since they provide rider support to me … smart huh? Without paying those premium prices.. you get a truck load of goodies on the money you saved.. in my book that’s a double win.. 🤔
Yea I was responding to rgIII dude.
Obviously..? 🙄
