Good news....
Update2- Still doesn’t have feeling below the chest. Mri showed misplaced vertebrae but none pressuring the spinal cord. Very minimal feeling if any on bottom of left foot. 0 on the right. Vitals are all good so that’s a relief. Sounds like front end washed in corner and high sided. Catching a flight early early am to catch before surgery in the morning.
I hate hearing these stories. Prayers for your brother's complete recovery.

Prayer sent good luck
Hate this part of the sport, Prayers for a full recovery . Hang in there.
Heading back for surgery now. Vitals still very good. Still very minimal if any feeling below the chest area.
Thankyou all for the prayers. Means a lot.
Praying for a complete and full recovery. It sucks how unforgiving this sport we all love is.
Prayers for your brother, I ask the good lord to heal him from his head to his toes and that he has a steady recovery!!
I appreciate your updates.
May he be blessed with healing.
Thinking about you as well..... how are you holding up? What are your thoughts now?

Can we get an email addy so we can send him some wishes. Sometimes that helps.
I'm local so I'd love to show up and give support. My Texas brothers would as well. I'm not Ft Worth but if you need a room or a vehicle I can accommodate.

jake113w@gmail.com Is his email. Thankyou so much for the offer. I’ll reach out if needed. Flew in early this am. Haven’t slept much. Tough to process tbh.
I wish the best for your brother!
Positive vibes for him, you and family from the south part of the world
Keep us posted
Dang. Prayers up. Does he have local people to help out? I can get the word out to the local MX community if you wish.
My MX career ended at RV.
My Mom-Dad are in the dfw area. Definitely a taxing time as my Mom just had a very bad stroke last Tuesday which caused a big hemorrhage and can’t drive. Jake’s a pilot for Frontier so not to sure how that works out. I’ll be catching a red eye tonight to get back to work Wed-Friday then fly back over the weekend. Unfortunately I think it’s time to start looking for a job in Dfw to help the fam.
update3- Jake’s in good spirits, still on the surgery pain meds until they wear off tomorrow. He gets very slight feeling of the air movement on his feet from time to time but beyond that still no movement from chest down. Also few broken ribs on the backside. If anyone would like to text him to wish him well reach out and I’ll shoot his number over. He does remember everything. Was just going into a corner at slower speeds and washed it. Must of just landed in the worst spot.
Nothing against River Valley tho. Great family oriented track that I grew up riding at.
Crazy the curveballs life will through at you at any given moment
Continued prayers for a skilled docs and a full recovery. The air movement feeling is a good sign. Sorry to hear about your mom. You're a good son/brother for being there with the family first mentality.
It is scary how quickly life can change....been through that with loved ones and friends. Unfortunately, It gets worse the older you get.
DM sent. I think RV is as fine as any track. Just a bad memory for me.
Most of the time we go to the track, don’t give a thought about mot coming back in one piece. Hope he recovers, prayers on my end for sure.
Fused t2 all the way to t6 and bolted t6 and t7. He almost broke his neck but thankfully did not. He lucked out and had one of the best surgeons in the world, Dr Brian Hood. His ribs are broken from the back. So lots of chest pain. He can feel the back incision. He is a strong kid. He will be in physical therapy for the next year or more. They won't have any idea what shakes out from this until around a year. He had to notify the FAA today and I can only imagine how tough that was.
