Who will be Jett's competition in a few years?

Looking at the current roster, most of the top guys are getting older and are on their way out.  So who will be around in a few years to possibly give Jett some troubles?? Either 250/450 indoor or outdoor, who is on your list?

Of all the top 450 guys (Webb, Sexton, Roczen, Tomac, AP, Anderson) isn't Sexton likely to be the only one around?  How long with Webb and Roczen race? I was expecting more out of Malcolm, but he's not showing up. With that said, who will be the top contenders in a few years who could have what it takes to possibly beat Jett on occasion?  I can only think of the 7 below who might be there and able, with a few question marks below them.

Chase Sexton
Hunter Lawrence
Justin Cooper
Levi Kitchen
Haiden Deegan
Tom Vialle
Jorge Prado

Julien Beaumer??
Cameron Mcadoo??
Daxton Bennick??
Austin Forkner??

Any kids coming up the ranks I'm missing??

I think your list is good. A few other names might be Lucas Coenen and Kay de Wolf, if they consider coming across the pond.

I don't forsee an American challenging Jett besides Sexton or Deegan, at this point...possibly Levi Kitchen, but he's gonna have to keep doing what he's been doing.

1 more wildcard from me, just saying this from what I saw a few years ago, I think Nick Romano has some good speed, he rode Jett hard at Unadilla in 2022, I belive it was, then he crashed or got hurt. I'm speaking solely towards mx, Romano has a ways to go indoors.

Once Webb, Roczen, Anderson and Tomac retire Jett could start racking up wins. If he wins this yrs sx I look for that to be sooner than later for some of them.

That's a great list, you should put it into Excel.  I didn't know Malcolm was that old....oh how time flies.

Sexton, Prado, Kitchen IMO.

Deegan only because he has a mentality of a champion, do what ever it takes, die trying attitude, huge ego etc.

Is he as talented as Jett? probably not.

Literally nobody unless Prado can figure out SX. In MX, Prado will be right there with him. That’s it. He is the perfect age. A few years older and he’d have had to contend with Roczen, Tomac, Anderson, and Webb for multiple years. He will only have to deal with them likely one or two. Sexton I guess is his top competition that’s not about to retire, but he literally went undefeated in MX against him so …

We were spoiled for a long time post RC. Always at least a few top guys to keep the championship in doubt. For the first time in a long time, once Webb, Roczen, and Tomac retire, it’s just Jett. So many of the 250 guys we look at are older than Jett already. Kitchen for instance. I just don’t see anyone challenging him except Prado. My personal opinion.

This is only Kitchens 2nd full year in SX. He’s older, but maybe not in “moto years”

to be honest, i legit dont see it at this moment...longterm besides (sexton)..I think jetts timing is a bit like mcgraths, meaning the people on the horizon can challenge a race or two but barring anything crazy for jett.. hes about to dominate. Not this year obviously (sx, speaking) but heading into his sophmore sx season.

Now the chef is a great 250f rider. however out of all the 250f riders at the moment the only two i see having a modocum of success on the 450s are Deegs and Kitchen.

Maybe Hampshire but i dont like his odds because of the way he can implode on 250s randomly.

Maybe Tom Vialle or MacAdoo id like to see them on 450s to really say,

2-3 years ago id would have said forkner, but that train to 450s easily has derailed.

Honestly, its going to be somebody unexpected. ala like ricky dethroning mcgrath.

He’s on a collision course to battle with Prado next summer.

With all due respect my guy, Ricky taking the mantle was not unexpected. RC was on a path of destruction from the time he got on a KX60

Sexton. Always thought chase would be the one having the career Jett is. He made a nice save last night, seems in previous years that would have put him on the ground. Maybe it was luck, maybe he's learned to work with the mistakes

No offense but James lost to rc by like 2 points his rookie year. If Jett loses to cooper Webb despite being like 2 seconds a lap faster, I will have overestimated him

Give Prado 1-year to get dialed in on our MX tracks, then he smokes Jett outdoors. Shit he may be eating Jetts doughnuts in 2025 outdoors. But JL sure as the hell can forget about a perfect outdoors season, Prado is legit.  SX he's maybe 2-years to become a top 5. Mainly because SX he's starting in the 450 class. Either case I can't wait to watch it playout.

Sexton, eventually Prado and injuries will be his biggest comp I'm guessing.

That was not James’ rookie year.

Well yeah, however in the year 2000 ricky imploded at the san diego sx with that peg to the thigh or hip area.. and my youngs self counted him out after that crash until the race at Anaheim.  (I was only 12, going on 13, thought i had everything figured out racing wise lol.)

IMO Justin cooper is way under rated. I think it’s a slow start to his 450 career but in a year or two he’s going to be a threat.

You only have to go back a few years and no one was predicting Sexton to be ultra competitive straight away in the premier class, nor did anyone have Jett going undefeated.

If the past has taught us anything, it’s that the future is uncertain and the end is always near.

I still have hope it will be Chase. This year is going to somewhat of a rebuilding year while he adapts to the KTM. I know what you're saying, rebuilding year? He's the defending champion! We know how he won the title and all his silly crashes in mx and sx though. I think if he can eliminate those and have that same top end speed he's absolutely a threat. Maybe that's the Chase fan in me being too optimistic. Prado in mx? Sure. Sx? Naw

Yes Prado for sure and if Liam Everts gets things sorted he has great bloodline, but his Dad never raced AMA.

I’d pump the brakes on the next Jett. Kitchen is good but let’s not forget it’s a regional class he’s winning right now.

Jcoop is wildly underrated but do you honestly think he will be anywhere near challenging Jett? He actually has very few wins to his name but has been successful in not exploding when everyone else around him in 250s were. Basically every race Jett enters he is expected to win. I root for Jcoop but the expectation he can challenge Jett soon isn’t remotely possible.

I think Webb, Anderson, Roczen, and Tomac will all be around for quite awhile yet.

They are all incredible champions - but because none of them had the sheer career dominance of MC/RC/RV, they are "OK" with not winning in a sense. The checks still cash, they still get to be a star, and they can still win, albeit less often.

The fans have been ready to retire each of them at different points. And yet they all find ways to claw back, and sign on for one more big deal.

So, I predict the next person to take a title from Jett will actually be one of the Vets.

Drew Adams has promise, and he trains with the Hunter bros. Most importantly he has red hair so I wouldn't bet against him.
