Yeah, Cooper is a has been!

Nobody else right now has the sheer speed, and tenacity to possibly stop Jett Lawrence from taking the title this year. I'd say Webb's best days are far from being behind him.

It ain’t even close to over tho. There could easily be a 10 pt swing this weekend. Staying within 3 or so seconds had to be a pretty big confidence booster for coop.

That’s fine. But if he was “pushing” he also could have potentially crashed. Coops closing this thing back up this weekend

"Staying within 3 or so seconds" When was the last rider to stay closer? i wouldn't say Cooper staying within 3 seconds is a confidence booster if the Leader is managing the race to maintain a 3 second gap.

Big fan of Coop.. but i wouldn't say that's a confidence booster. If anything its the opposite

I mean coop himself said that it feels good to bridge the gap compared to where he was speed wise at smx and other races.

And it helped him knowing that he has the pace to go with him.

Webb has some type of voodoo. Dude can be 7th in qualifying, 5th in the heat and still come out with a podium in the only race where it matters. No one else has that kind of luck or track record.

Queue up Magoo talking shit about a Lawrence anytime a Lawrence is mentioned, or a whoop section, or going off the track etc.

Legit looks awful some nights all the way through to the main. Only to end up on the podium. Its crazy.

When points are on the line he is just fights so much harder. Other riders will leave points on the table at times because they didnt do everything they could. Webb very rarely comes away from a race where he could have done anything more.

Think a lot of times he’s looking at how the track is going to be come main time and trying to find those lines and set his bike up for that.

It's embarrassing for the sport when a lapper wins the race.

But at least he had morning wood getting the gifted win haha

Agreed.  Unless he can get a win or two in the last few rounds and get some serious momentum going, I don't see him racing outdoors much less another SX season.

Jett is looking unreal as always, Ken is probably the best he's been since his injuries, Tomac is coming in motivated and with plenty of rest... Meanwhile Cooper is fat and doesn't seem to be geling well with the yammy. Of course you can never count Webb out, but looking at him now compared to his competition it doesn't exactly look promising.

This thread really did age terribly, as did my comment here about him looking fat and unpromising. At least I also said you can never count him out, that's one thing I sure got right.
