Tomac outdoor testing?

If he wants to race SMX finals, I think he is going to need a couple gate drops in between.

With his SX win, he’s automatically eligible to race the SMX races even if he’s outside of the top 30.

I realize that, but I’m just saying to not lose the pace and timing while everyone else is still on it each week. 3 races, can’t afford to have a tune up round

As an Eli fanboy, nobody is catching the Jettster outside #TFE (The Fastest Ever)

Let’s remember how Eli and Chase were neck and neck speed wise in ‘22. Honestly I’d give the edge to Chase

He's done at the end of SX. Stamp it.

Selfishly I hope you're wrong, as I'd love to see Tomac back at it outdoors (like most of us would).

I expect you're right though.

“He was hauling”

I always ave to laugh at statements like this. Because, if he was going three seconds per lap slower, your naked eye couldn’t tell, but race pace that would put him off-pace of his competition. So how would you know he’s “hauling” without a stop watch??

all these guys look silly fast to the naked eye. Only the stopwatch separates them.

Interesting point you bring up. For a few minutes last week JCoop and Jett were within 1/1000th of a second of each other for pole position. A millisecond. Literally less than a blink of an eye. Our brain takes 13 milliseconds to process visual information. The margins at the pointy end of this field are sooooo small.

I’ll make a friendly wager that Tomac races at least one outdoors this year if you’d like to.

Wow, no respect for Sexton who beat beast mode many times, comes within 1 point at the last round of the Nationals? Then Jett goes 22-0 keeping Sexton winless in 23….my money is on Jett this summer no matter who lines up. No disrespect to Tomac but 18 is on another level.

To ALL the people who say "Tomac barely beat Sexton in '22 MX"

Tomac: 14 moto wins. 8 of them were a win streak. Nearly double the moto wins.
Sexton: 8 moto wins. Never won more than 3 in a row.

He won by 7 points over 24 motos, with a 1 point lead going into the last round, I don't think "barely" is a stretch at all.

Right, it went down to the final race. I go to Unadilla every year and Chase handled Eli there in '22. Beat him by 15sec one moto. I was certain Chase would take a moto from Jett there and stop the undefeated season. Jett cruised around first moto and Chase got close before crashing. Then Jett put 10sec on him the 2nd moto. That's when I realized Jett was going undefeated. Talk about a weak field all you want but he didn't lose one moto to Chase, who's an absolute unit.

Not to mention the fact that Chase said he was riding faster than in 22 racing Eli

I’m guessing it’s hard for Tomac to quit because he loves racing.   For some people like RC and RV it seems like it was an easy decision; not so much for others…just ask CR22.

I think they would back him if he wanted to do it but with so much burn out etc in recent years I don’t see it happening , I see him doing a couple like the last 2 seasons but not a full series

I get that but at SMX he was kind of remorseful in that he wished he did more for a better seeding into SMX. Maybe that feeling has passed lol

Forget winning a moto, he never led a lap. I honestly would have bet my house he would lead a lap. After watching him and ET go at it in 2022 and knowing he was on the same bike I thought he would only be faster. And then HE said he was going faster!

Really? He must really be feeling like his old self on the bike again. If he does outdoors I'll be 0-2 on my Tomac predictions. I said he chance does he come back this year and during sx I said he's not doing outdoors. I'll definitely hit as many Nationals as possible if he going to be out there.
