Has anyone done fmf yet? Any issues with subframe like the previous gen?

No issues here. I have the slip on. Works great. Has good connectivity to the ground and no subframe issues

Can anyone confirm the difference between the ti6 and the ti6 pro? Is it just the core diameter or is the muffler length different aswell? Thanks

Yes sir it is rubber mounted. And I feel it’s a little quieter than my buddies ti-6 pro. But less performance than the PC system. Granted mine is only a slip on and his is a full system.

Ohhhweee rubber mounted?? Good job fmf! Yeah I think I’d just do a slip on. I kind of like the look of the stock header haha

I have a T-6 system on mine and am very happy with the performance and build quality.  If I had to do it over again, I would probably go with the Pro because mine is really loud.  I feel like the PC quality is definitely a step above FMF.  I also think you’ll get 90% of the benefits from a slip-on because of how corked up the stock muffler is.

Would you possibly know if the pro muffler is the same length as your t-6?

in 2023 I went through 4-5 PC exhausts. was not impressed with the quality. Broken headers, rivets flying out. cannisters look horrible. I had Ti-6 & t-6 stainless. I had 4-5 full systems through the season & then just piece together the parts after you break em. PC did a good job of pulling apart exhausts to sell me just a header or just a cannister but i thin that was only bc i was sponsored. Not sure if they do that for everybody?

I just switched to fmf a month ago so check in with me next season for a quality assessment lol. FMF also offered me better support. I went & asked PC to match & never got a call back. They said let me take a look at your results & get back to you. Never got back to me. i had been on the rider support program for 3-4 years now with lots of racing & some solid results.

I can't speak for the performance part of the new twin air powerflow kit yet, But i will say that it seems to work a lot better just by design. And it is way more confidence inspiring when it comes to the filter being held in place and sealing good. I'm not saying the stock set up didn't seal good, Just seems like this power flow set up makes more sense. The latch/gromet that holds the filter in place now seems way more solid then the metal latches on the oem filter set up, It snaps in place tight and takes some effort to pop off compared to the oem metal latches.

Sorry, I don't know.

Contacted pro circuit and they said both ti-6 and ti-6 pro are the same length. Was about to swap my order to the pro and just got a msg from my local shop saying my ti-6 has arrived 🤣

Would you swap to the pro? Is your t-6 horribly loud?

Nah, it isn’t that bad, and it flat rips!  But if someone is concerned about sound…

Thanks, I'll stick with the ti-6 then 👍

That's left over 2022 RMZ450 pricing lol.

I got totally screwed on an anniversary 450 early February, $12,000 OTD and that was with a $1000 rebate. I bought it 3 days before the frame recall was announced. I wish I waited another week but how was I to know.

Installed FMF few weeks ago, fits great, sounds great. The subframe issue was "addressed" according to Kawasaki. We'll see

Still waiting for the Megabomb Ti header pipe to arive. I pre ordered it 8 weeks ago wtf. FMF holds the patent on the head pipe, I would think it's equivalent or maybe slightly better than the PC. Probably a dyno shoot out video somewhere by now. Unless they are also waiting on pipes 😞

Does anyone know how we're supposed to tell if the frame starts to crack underneath their patch?

You would never see the crack under the epoxy.

If the frame cracks the epoxy cracks. It's not like epoxy is flexible.

Has anybody had their side panels crack like this? Seems the exhaust puts some strain on the panel with the factory grommets on the inside of the panel. Anybody played with removing them? Can’t find a replacement anywhere at the moment 🤷🏻‍♂️

Anyone experienced a lot of ticking with their 2024 kx450?? I know kawasakis typically tick a lot more then other 450s but after doing a few hot laps today it was ticking pretty loud. Any issue with this or am I over worrying about it???

I bet it was detonation.

Ticking from the motor is detonation?? Never heard of that analysis.

I’ve noticed these new ones definitely have more of a tick than previous generation. Had the clutch and such inspected and everything looked good so i just summed it up to it just being noisier 🤷‍♂️

When did the ticking mainly happen, like when the motor was under load? Was it more like a metallic crackle/rattle?
