”Watched a interview with the 450 teamboss as he said they have a replacement rider in Riolo who is pretty good sand rider…”

Villopoto? Sorry, it’s just me being ironic again. Exciting news. We’ll see in two weeks time.

I am not sure if the focus on getting the emx250 title for Yamaha will lead to MX2 contenders.

The KTM/HQV approach of moving kids up regardless of winning a title seems like a much better approach then keeping them 3+ years in emx250 to win a title

Motoverte.com said that the last round of the 2024 MXGP world championship could finally take place in Spain (instead of Italy) !

How does the numbering system work in MXGP? Can any rider choose a permanent number? Can someone explain the plate backgrounds? I see black front numberplate backgrounds with white side panel backgrounds, riders with black outlines on white backgrounds, etc…

Don’t quote me on this, but If the number is available you can run with it, except number 1. Sadly there has been this utterly stupid habit among defending world champs to not run with the number 1, but instead use their ordinary number.

Jonass ran no.1 in MX2 in 2018, and I think Herlings in 2022, and now this year Prado. Before that you have to go back to 2003 to see the no.1 plate.

In GPs I think you’r only obliged to have the correct class colors on the front plate, and anything goes for the side plates.

I think this is at least close to reality 🤷‍♂️😆

I agree with you. Sometimes winning emx250 means a rider is the next big thing, but Rick and Andrea doesn’t stand out as huge talents to me somehow. I don’t see them winning mx2 (I didn’t see Adamo getting the title either) so maybe they can surprise. Too bad with Renaux and Geerts

Motoverte.com said that the last round of the 2024 MXGP world championship could finally take place in Spain (instead of Italy) !

Some weeks ago a newspaper from a Spain comunity said that a 3 race is going to host in Spain but i didnt want to speculate too soon.

The round will be host in castilla la mancha at cozar motor ranch i think.

I went there 2 or 3 months ago to ride a Cross country track and ride the motocross track too.

The track is normal, similar to Madrid but could be diferent...

Elzinga and Bonacorsi also had years to win it. I understand why they stayed, the title gets you a ride at factory yamaha. But imo they are not gp championship material

Bonacorsi also spent 4 years in EMX125, he only really came good when he won the title in his 4th year on the Fantic.

I can't see it. He didn't like the Fantic so it's unlikely he'll like the Yamaha.
